[MENTION=51033]97BlackAckCL[/MENTION] if have two keys take one put it in the ignition and turn it to ON don't start it, now with your second key go to the rear hatch lock cylinder and use your key as you would to roll it down/up, if working (good sign) cycle that a couple times. then go back to the ignition and start your car from the ON position it is in then go ahead and turn it off and see if that helped.

So sick of this stupid body shop...

So my auto up/down and remote down functions on the rear hatch window hasn't worked since they took my rear hatch apart to paint it. When they gave me back my keys, they menioned that it was "missing an actuator" which I found puzzling, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the rear window just needed reprogrammed (which I've dealt with 1000 times). I tried reprogramming, and nothing, I unplugged the blue ECU in the hatch to reset everything, still nothing. I even checked all the connections on the rear window motor and couldn't see anything out of place or not connected. So I got the insurance involved, took the truck back to them, and they replaced the whole rear hatch window motor, and apparently the auto-up/down functions and the remote button still are not working. Since they are stumped, they're now trying to blame my aftermarket radio and amp, and saying that clearly those shorted something out since they can't figure out what they broke. I'm getting really frustrated now. Anyone run into this issue before? I told the girl that my amp wire has been present for 3 years, and the window only stopped working after they took the motor apart. Now it feels like they're just looking for a cop-out and are trying to blame anything other than themselves. Has anyone seen anything like this? The switch in the truck works fine, but the key and the remote do not work. Could it be a relay or something else?

They also tried blaming my key, and my remote battery, but I have tested with both remotes...

Drove to Rohrich toyota in picksburg n'at after work to discuss 2016 Land Cruiser pricing (good conversation and very information I might ad) and while there, spotted a 2016 4Runner TRDP in quicksand in the back of their lot, contemplated it, naaaah.

It's a different color on a unique model that will definitely be sought after later in life of the 4Runner's heritage in about 10-15 years, but it's just not me.

After standing there for 5 minutes though I was convinced it would likely never require cleaning because it's the perfect color to look clean, dirt.
If I was in the market for a 4Runner, I'd buy it if for no other reason than I'd never have to wash it. (wife requires a clean vehicle)

~$31 per side isn't bad if you make a TW account. They are less rigid so they should have more give and less leaking.

I don't like their pinch style bands though. I'm bad at those lol

Have an 06 Sport V6 4x4 with shiny grey grease coming from the CV boots on both sides. At 125K, would it be a good idea to replace the whole cv axle assemblies, or just get a new pair of boots? I'm not sensing any noise or problems, just grease thrown back on the frame.

I was just drooling over a brand new LC the other day that was parked in the strip. Rohrich is a great dealership, that's where I traded in my 03 and got my 08. But I hear ya, definitely not for me

I've been drooling over a LC for about 10 years. As soon as my wife gets a job (next year after finishing her PhD) and we're both working, we're trading in our 07 4Runner for one, likely at Rohrich.
I didn't realize it until visiting them yesterday but one of the salesman there is old high school acquitance. Small world and makes the negotiation less stressful on a Land Cruiser, that's for sure. They seem reasonable and easy to work with so it looks like 2016 will be the year of the LC200 for us. :reddance::frog::clap2:
Now to just decide between Sonora Gold Pearl or Amazon Green Metallic.
decisions decisions.... (that's really the only decision since there are no available options or trim levels on a LC, go big and go home

Got a call from the body shop today, they took the truck to the dealership and the dealership "recalibrated" which I'm assuming means reprogrammed everything, and she said that all the auto functions are working again :clap2: Still waiting to see if they try to charge me directly instead of the supplemental to the insurance, we shall see. I'm already out $300 on a rental car... Either way, the 2 issues that they didn't fix are resolved, so that makes me happy. They're performing a full detail on it for all my troubles, and I'm picking up the truck tomorrow :biggrin2:
