I replaced my hood struts the other day with OEM struts. Didn't really want to pay for OEM struts for the rear hatch so i bought some StrongArm struts off eBay and installed them today. They made a huge difference!

Also received my Demello sliders. Will be prepping and painting this weekend....:rockon:

Backdoor fun

Took it for a spin on a road by my house I just found out about. Turns out it's a major hiking trail that overlooks the entire Salt Lake Valley. The road was pretty rocky, plenty of deep ruts, harrowing turns and extremely close to a several hundred foot drop over the edge. I felt like a bad ass until I get to the trail head and there's a goddamn BMW 3 series there!?!?!

Did you dip your handles too? I was wanting to do that, but concerned they won't last.

I did my handles about 2+ yrs ago, have held up pretty good so far. Only wear spots have been on the inside where you grab.

Installed Version #1 of my cargo management system in the rear area for securing the fridge and action packer and other gear.

I used A Track and mounted to the OE tie down locations, with 2 more thru-bolts on the rear most rail by the tailgate.

Version 2 will be a single floor covering vs carpet and weathertech, with sound deadening and full use of the A track rail options.

Goal was to have flexibility to move mounting ring but to also useable for dogs.

I did! But honestly I do not expect it to last at all... But this helped me realize that I do like em black. So when this peels off, I'm gonna use some matte black real paint on them. It'll just require a lot of masking I'm thinking. I definitely like the look though.
