What did you do with your 4runner today?

A few days ago I did the following at a dealership:
1) replaced timing belt and water pump
2) replaced drive belts
3) replaced coolant
and then I attempted to drive from Houston to Dallas, Texas, but got stuck by a flood in Corsicana, Texas. In one day, they had over 14" of rain. Luckily, we knew a family that lived 15 miles from where we were so we crashed there and drove back the next day.

Can I ask or you can PM me. . . .but how much did that bill from the dealership set you back? I'm thinking I need to do the belt and pump soon. :redbrick:

I used to see a 4th gen every morning that was either rhino lined or line-x'd and that's definitely something I'm going to consider doing at some point just so I don't have to look at scratches all the damned time. I wonder how many gallons it would take to do the whole runner and if you only need one coat. Maybe I'll order some for my sliders just to see how it handles every day wear and tear.
Here's a thread about it. I priced line x a month ago, they told me over $4500! I figured $600 for Monstaliner, that's 1 gallon black, 1 gallon of tint able, plus 1 quart of tint able. I want my 4Runner the same color of Grey, black hood, then some red highlights. Instead of TRD I'm going to put TRM as that's the name of my painting business. Lol. I'll debadge at that time too.

Ya I've given up hope of my paint ever being in good shape. This will cure that problem, make my body panels stronger, insulate from road noise, and just plain be bomb-diggity! Lol

I got a quote here in Cali. and they said $8000.00 to line-x the whole thing. (Gulp)
I really need to do this.Found my rear diff breather was plugged. Got some Napa parts paired with hose I had and did a quick relocate.

I wish i was more mechanically inclined as id save some money on this job…it wasn't cheap.
I actually got brake fluid changed, drive belts, water pump and timing chain, with labor and parts…$1,200. :bash:

Haha I thought I was alone on that one. Just goes to show how functional these vehicles are. I'm still impressed every time I get behind the wheel. I love the FJ rims on the runner. Nice choice!

You got a pic not flexing? ever for that matter?
I wanna see how it sits/stance on the street. how much lift was gained?

Yeah but the photo not best. I would say 3" front and rear was gained. The super flex rear still kept the rake which is nice.

There's at least one wash where you see me get out and look that was deep on both sides and my Tacoma would have had a hard time crossing it in it 2wd. Probably still could have done it, but there would have been rear damage because of the angle.
