Last week:
Clean, clay, Rain-X on the front & rear glass.
Valeo wipers on the front, OEM Toyota on the rear.

I'm going to need a new windscreen. Mine is pitted, chipped, and now has a crack running along the bottom. I might as well wait until spring, however, as we use grit during the winters.

Today:
PS Fluid Flush (after 3 years). I used Valvoline Max Life (left over from my previous flush). The new stuff still smells burnt, but it's probably because my nostrils were toast from smelling the original flush.

Air Filter & MAF Clean

Oil & Oil Filter (1 year, 7008 miles). I didn't bother grabbing a sample for Blackstone Labs, since my previous two were golden.

I forgot: I have been having issues with the driver's side DRL/Turn. I replaced the bulb twice, but still got the quick flash. I took a closer look today, and it looks like the bulb isn't seating in the socket all that tightly. Additionally, it looks like the socket is burnt somehow (the socket is discolored). I think maybe I need to use some contact cleaner, and bend out the contacts.

Any other suggestions?

Took of the Roof rack and made some brackets to drop it a few inches. Anyone need any roof rails.

for install a 1x2 will be your friend. tape off the fender and a pillar and pull back the fender and put the board in between and that makes it a lot better to install

did just the 2" Leveling and added 33" Tires and had to trim a lot, and I also cut the Front body mount back and rewelded by about 1 inch

I have to do the same thing, when the sun shines in mine I can't see anything.

Holy crap! Last time I checked those toll booths had enough room for a 4Runner. What happened?

Ha. Good sized buck decided to stick his neck out in front of my headlight - ran out from in front of the semi truck that was alongside us as we were passing it. Head shot at 70mph. Mostly superficial damage - tire and alignment and radiator ok - lost headlight/turn signal, inner fender liner, some aerodynamics, and washer fluid reservoir busted but only half way up, so we still had a little in the bottom we could use. Otherwise, we just kept rollin'. Put another 1500 miles on it before getting back home.

Also just got rear-ended in August, so I've got some insurance checks, and some front and rear bumper shopping to do. Looking at 4x4 Labs front (Luke is working on adapting his awesome 5th gen design for the 4th gen, and a CBI rear bumper.

Second post here, first project on my 4R is the same as this, although I only have one headlight done and am finishing it today, so I got weird looks driving it this morning.

BTW, did you find it hard to get that hidden screw back on with this headlight? Someone else in a DIY thread said to leave it off but I'd rather not.

Where are you going again? We did chicago to seattle in August so this is bringing back memories minus the damage

Made a little 5 day round trip from MN to WY. Some camping, off-roading, general adventure, and some antelope hunting (only saw deer while hunting, no antelope - though every other square mile of WY seemed to be loaded with them... I think we got stuck with the junk hunting zone, lots of gas/oil industry activity where we were allowed to hunt... and the only shots taken were to the head of a deer with the 4Runner, no guns involved;/

Not sure about my tire choice

So I decided to change my tires. I went from 305/65-17 KM2 to 285/70-17 KO2. I wanted the 285/75-17 KM2 but they were too close to my sliders. I'm not entirely sure I like the way it looks what do you all think??

Painted and reinstalled the front sway bar after getting a stuck bolt out of the frame.

Upgraded to Prothane greaseable aftermarket brackets.

Acquired 4 1.25" spidertrax spacers off craigslist for $100. Shibby. Bought the 17" spare I've been looking for on eBay. Not as sexy, but necessary as I had a 16" under the truck. Double shibby.
