What did you do with your 4runner today?

VSC Disconnect pics continued.... The end product isn't as pretty as I'd like it to be but for my first successful mod im not complaining :bravo: Ill trade out the switch with a more stock looking one later :reddance:

Can someone put it in plain terms what this mod will do for a v8 4wd? Save me from reading the thread again.

Ability to spin the tires with zero interference from the abs system including traction control. Does some good donuts! Never thought it would be useful until my exhaust started throwing codes the other day and I went out to play. Had a blast!

I was pretty sure that was it. Been on the fence about it really. I guess its easy to turn of if I did it though.

Perfect. Used three aerosol cans. I have a fourth to do the inside of the frame rails with the adapter. I wrapped the exhaust in tin foil to prevent overspray onto it.

All the smell withered away on my 750 mile drive home after Thanksgiving.

I bought three cans of this as well, and hope to do it after hunting season this weekend. Glad to know its pretty self explanatory!

F***, wow that sucks. Sounds as though your light bar is damaged but the truck was spared. Hope replacing it won't be a pain.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, I have to take a closer look today and see what the full extent of the damage is. The light bar still works, but I think the bar may need replaced anyway

Installed rear bilstiens from an 2013 trail team FJ and put my stock wheels back on with 1.5 inch spacers. Flipped the ko2s to black sidewall out. The white letters never grew on me with black wheels

Nothing to big, change the oil last weekend. Changed both the hood prop rods today. They were going out.

How much amp can you fit? Quite a bit

I did this mod a while back, but figured some people might be able to use it if you are trying to keep a mostly stock look but add some bump in the trunk.

2007 SR5 V6 w/o any special stereo system. You know that place where the stock sub goes? well, if you do a little trimming it can fit some decent quality amps.

I fabricated the metal pieces from strips bought at home depot and padded the amps against each other with some packing material. These are pretty large amps, the results:

1x 450/1 JL Audio amp for front and rear. 19.7" x 9.25" x 2.36"
1x 500/1 JL Audio amp for the 12" sub i have in the back. 13.4" x 9.25" x 2.36"





Excuse the dirt, I generally keep a mountain bike in the back of my car. hah.

Sprayed the rear hatch mechanism with white lithium grease. Made a world of difference in how it operates.
