Finally found time between exams and studying to install some light goodies from black friday deals :happy:
Thanks to momo for the floating hellas mod and cbi for shipping their ditch brackets fast. Sorry for the poser shot. Only dirt trail close enough in the suburbs. :doh:

a ford fusion got into a fight with my rear tire and bumper today so now the question is should i go with stock or aftermarket as a replacement

Got the truck out on a fire road to test out the new Icon/MT rear setup. My god it's like night and day back there now. So much smoother off road and no more of that "banging" crap I was hearing out of the Superflex/5100.

Only problem now, is that I'm rubbing my reservoirs. Pretty certain wheel spacers are in my future to correct that.

Not even full stuff because the wheel is literally on the reservoir right here.

Did you do the extended brake lines? Mine are sitting in the garage still, but at this point with hitting my reservoirs I doubt I'll get enough flex to need them until I fix that issue.

Yea...they're definitely needed. I'm surprised I haven't broken my stock brake lines before the MT kit! Those stock lines are very short.

Stuck my BFG AT 285/70r17 tire in the stock spare space under my runner,.. works.. a bit snug but all I had to do was air it down (I always have a compressor available) and if I release tension off the cable holding it there,.. I can pull it down without getting a hernia.

I did this mod a while back, but figured some people might be able to use it if you are trying to keep a mostly stock look but add some bump in the trunk.

2007 SR5 V6 w/o any special stereo system. You know that place where the stock sub goes? well, if you do a little trimming it can fit some decent quality amps.

I fabricated the metal pieces from strips bought at home depot and padded the amps against each other with some packing material. These are pretty large amps, the results:

1x 450/1 JL Audio amp for front and rear. 19.7" x 9.25" x 2.36"
1x 500/1 JL Audio amp for the 12" sub i have in the back. 13.4" x 9.25" x 2.36"
