What did you do with your 4runner today?

Technically late...

So... This was actually about 3 weeks ago, but I just haven't been able to find time for some good 'ol forum cruising until now. On to the juicy bit:

I found out how to get 8-9mpg in a 4Runner:

Just get a big U-Haul trailer, load it until you have to squeeze the doors shut, hook it to the back of a 4Runner on 295s, pack the interior of the 4Runner, and hit the interstate. Try to keep it above 65.

Note: computer said 8-9. I was going from FL to Raleigh, NC. I didn't bother to do calculations because...well... the company was paying for the cost of moving, and that was all I needed to know.

If you're in Raleigh, and want to meet up and show me some good wheeling spots, I'll buy beer (afterward... of course)!arty:

Made some more progress. Going to redo it.off around the sides and bottom. Just a practice run. Bought grill from eBay for super cheap before i destroy my perfectly good one.

Got it towed back to a shop, water pump was leaking a lot more than normal, and everything is new as of 13k miles ago. Including the motor.

This was the puddle of coolant left over a couple of hours of sitting.

Those are more than worth the money, I swapped out the glass with orange plexiglass and use them as ditch lights. Bright enough and no moisture inside after almost a year of use.

Got a new weather tech cargo mat for $50! Also I haven't posted a pic in a while so I kinda felt obligated...and I know it's dirty but there's no point in washing it cause it rains every other day it seems

Yeah it's pretty good, and a great size for our cargo areas. I believe it came from Academy sports, it's made by Plano and they have a few different sizes. I think it was like 30 bucks or so. It's even got wheels on one end so if you need to roll it instead of carry it, you can

Installed my mob armor phone mount and ordered a battery, block and Trans heater. Light force 240s for my bumper, front and rear weathertechs and some piaa headlight bulbs!!

Put my 1.25" spacers on and now I'm rubbing like crazy on the fender in the front. BUT it looks like that may fix my rubbing on the reservoir issue and the stance looks a lot better. So tomorrow is fender/fender liner trimming. I'm actually surprised that 32s are rubbing as much as they are, but at least once I trim I'll be mostly ready for 33s when I'm ready.

Another good deal I found on Craigslist... I think I'm going to just drop out of college and find stuff on craigslist for cheap and flip it and make a living doing that. I get so lucky on cl haha

Apparently! I look constantly and can't find squat! I search Knoxville/chatt/Johnson city. Those are within a 2hr drive, Nashville is 3, just a lil to far! Besides your there and would beat me anyway!

Hahah I only get on maybe once every 2 weeks but it seems theres always a deal I can't pass up. But the way to do it is use an app that lets you search multiple cl's at once and just choose every city near you (even small ones) and you'd be surprised what all you can find :fishing:

U suck, I get on every couple days with same app, even double tap to hide what I've seen! And search multiple cities!

where does that mount attach to? I sure don't trust those vent mounts. The desert heat always made rubbers & plastics so brittle. It looks like a nice mount though.

Tackled a project that I've been thinking about for awhile. When you remove your rear mud flaps, it leaves the rear bumper wide open. I've kicked a ton of mud up into it and that's just another annoying place I have to clean out when I've been in the slop.

So out came the dremel and I turned the the mudflap into a cover to keep everything out of the bumper.
