What did you do with your 4runner today?

Ive wanted to wire my blinker to be a marker/parking light as well. You just wired them together and all is well?

So far so good. I ran it for about 30 minutes and they didn't blow anything. I used LEDs so the power draw should be lower enough to melt or blow anything; that said, I'm not an expect electrician but at this point I don't expect any problems.

The wires on the new harness are so much thicker than the '04 ones. Once I connected both the upper and lower lights together and connected to the old power source it was like 400% larger than the old wires. Almost tempted at some point to rewire both the headlights and parking lights with '06 wiring from the fuse/relay area. Doubt that'll happen anytime soon as it'd prob. take me a day or more.

the front bumper I put on my Xterra is my design (and brought to life by my VERY talented fabricator) and we're going to go w/ the same design, only this one wont have a 22" light bar in the middle and instead of the 4 cubes for fog lights, I'll be using the OEM fogs w/ LED bulbs and ditch lights w/ a 42" curved roof light bar

They look like a better design than the ones I tried. I got ones that didn't have 360° output and the down-road light output felt lacking in comparison to stock halogen. They cast the majority of the light within the first 25' of the 4Runner, even after adjusting the headlight alignment.

Finished the wiring for the 03 -> 06 headlight swap. Wired the '06 parking light/DRL and turn signal together with LEDs. It is flipp'n bright :first:

Looks good! The 06 headlight swap is probably next on my radar after sliders. Did you go with OEM housings?

They have handled the Denver snow / blizzards / cold like a champ... it doesnt "rain" a lot here... but no issues w/ torrential snow

yep, I had 4 different HID kits on my Xterra (the one pictured above) and they all either blew, or flickered, or were just terrible for reliability.

these LEDs have been as reliable and solid as OEM w/ about double the light output. haha

Hmmm, mayble I'll have to give those ones a try at some point. I'd rather not do HIDs if I can help it

Some video from our Cleghorn TW run this weekend. Was a lot of fun. I hit one off shoot solo that didn't look too bad, until I saw the hill climb to get out of it. I still need to do my extended brake lines to go with my LT springs and a lot of the holes were deep. Last thing I needed to do was tear a brake line with my son in the car. Think that's this weekend's project.

Cool, I've looked at the TYC ones on Amazon, or going with the Spyder ones which are already blacked out. Just have been curious about the quality of the optics in them.

The Spider ones would look good with your red. I was trying to avoid a "murdered out" or ricey look. Downside of black is it is too easy to wreck it by "murdering" as opposed to other colors.

Quality overall of the TYC seems good so far, but its only been a week =)

There is a rubber seal between the hood and the headlight that wasn't properly aligned. So far that's my only complaint.

Repainted the rock sliders after the beating they took a couple weeks ago

Finished the accidental de-badging on the doors (one of the letters fell off)



Replaced the interior and exterior seal on the rear window

what brand and model led bulb did you use for the signal and marker? they look nice and match well.

Did you use a flasher or resistor?

New Tires went from 265/75/16 to 285/75/16 big difference
Gonna have to be doing some more chopping/cutting or .5 BL.
But waiting on those decisions until my
New 4" Lift Spindles show up tomorrow, and see where those put my stance at and possibly tire rubbing areas ....

what brand and model led bulb did you use for the signal and marker? they look nice and match well.

Did you use a flasher or resistor?

No flasher or resistor. Added a bulb to the circuit and it looks like I am 1w (2w total) over the stock bulb with the two LED bulbs. I didn't wire it as part of the flasher circuit, so I don't need anything as long as I'm not blowing a fuse
