What did you do with your 4runner today?

Yesterday I installed my sway bar relocates and today I finished up replacing the cup holder light and shifter light with LED's.

While the console was torn apart I re-routed my lightbar wiring and moved the switch from the dash to the console. Yay progress!

pulled into a 7 foot parking deck with my cb antenna still on the roof. good thing its just a whip antenna, still makes a lot of sound

I know the feeling.... almost finished my light bar install in the lower grill... but more importantly got those switches all moved to the middle.

But more important than the switches... sunk 8 Christmas trees at my secret fishing hole.

Used the 4Runner to trailer them to the lake, drove through some shallow water, out onto the beach, dropped the ramp of the trailer on the dock and unloaded it all.

Installed LEDs in the interior - map lights, doors, dome and cargo light. Like the improvement over the stock lights in both look and brightness.

Yeah, it is a little red neck, but something i have done for years.

Like creating artificial reefs in the gulf or ocean.

The Christmas trees attract small creatures and bugs, which attract minnows, which attract bigger minnows, which attract fish, etc etc etc... (Food chain)

The main reason I do this every year is because it all goes back to teaching kids (not just my own) to fish. If they catch fish while learning to fish they will enjoy fishing and it is a great life skill and can feed em' for life...

Installed my AOB aux reverse light switch

(just noticed that it's not exactly centered...maybe I can shim it a little to straighten it out)

FYI - for anyone interested, here is how I wired it:

-I ran both the switch LED wire and the switch power wire to a single add-a-fuse connection off the parking light circuit (this single feed provides fused 12v power to the switch, as well as lights it up with the dash lights when the parking lights are turned on)
-Red to relay
-Black to ground

Works like a champ and looks good.

Yes SIR! You get it. I can almost stick my finger in the water and catch a fish.

Honestly, no one gets hung in them now days. These guys all have these fish finders that can do side view and bottom view in 3-D and find my brush piles while running 70 mph from across the lake. SO they find them within days of me putting them out.
