What did you do with your 4runner today?

-Removed xreas. All 4 leaking.
-Showed wife to justify new Bilsteins that were about to be installed.
-Installed Bilstein 5100s.
-Wife asked why I was replacing all 4 springs also.
-Told wife it was a future cost saving measure and to go make me a sammich. (The sammich never came)
-Installed OME 883/895e
-Replaced both CV axles for the second time with my OEM reconditioned axles. (Tore one a boot the last time while installing unbeknownst to me)
-Replaced both seals for front differential since I was in there again.
-took kid to park in mildly lifted t4r.

Today was a good day.

Got TechStream working, changed some things. Can't really do too much besides change the lock and light behaviour. Will be useful for functioning master cylinder solenoid though.

Unfortunately, I didn't see anything for wheel speed. Really need to look into fixing my speedo.

Got my Magnaflow CBE installed! Everything was ez-pz, just had to hack at the stock exhaust a bit since a few of the bolts were seized / rusted.
Perfect sound for my taste and needs. Gives it a good rumble on acceleration but you hardly hear it at cruising speed - I hear that after a few hundred miles it gets a little more rough around the edges and I'm anticipating that and accepting it - I wouldn't mind a little more sound. LOVE the tips, too - I thought I'd dislike them based off of other pictures but it really looks neat in person.

Expensive day for our '05.Installed 4 new Cooper Discoverer SRX tires. Wow, are they a smooth ride! Changed the oil plus air and cabin filters, noticed coolant reservoir was low so went searching and discovered the infamous driver side lower corner radiator leak so ordered a new radiator to put in next week. Just thankful it wasn't a head gasket or some major financial decisions would have been looming! 11.5yrs old though and 175k and climbing so replacement items are expected here and there but it has been our best vehicle and hoping for many more miles out of it!

Check out my build thread. I posted some useful links including 1 on how to remove XREAS. It only took an hour or so to disconnect and pull all the hoses and fluid lines out.

1) I fixed the oops "I cross threaded/stripped the nut on my rear sway bar bushing bracket" from yesterday with a grade 10 M8-1,25 X 30 mm bolt and M8-1,25 flare nut. (image below). You can see the damaged threads on original bolt vs. the new bolt. Ironically, the new longer bolt must have chased the threads in the welded bolt on the sway bar bracket mounting plate ''cause it tightened up with no problem, where the original spun like a top. I added the flare nut as added security, but it probably wasn't necessary.

2) Pulled a neighbor's Toyota Sienna out of the ditch and "used" my diff lock and 4wd actuator to drop into 4L...just for fun. Pulled her out no problem!!!!

Very productive Spring Break for the 4Runner. 1 inch body lift -done. Ditch lights -done. Accessory wires moved from glove box Blue Sea fuse box to Switched Blue Sea fuse box - done. Driver side rock slider removed, frame weld ground flush with frame, painted, rock slider installed with all 3 mounting bolts instead of just the 2 I have used over the past years. It was a good week turning wrenches, no gremlins trying to frustrate the work.

Put in some interior LED lights. I gotta admit, the white/blue tint makes the interior feel like cheap motel lighting, but the extra brightness is pretty helpful.
