What did you do with your 4runner today?

Came out to get in this morning hopped in to go home from station where I had her warming up 20 mins looked down and gas light on I didn't even pay attention talk about cutting it close! Then drove a mile to get fuel closest I could get to.

Your lie-o-meter is backlit? I just bought my 2006 Limited on Saturday and noticed that mine isn't. I wonder if I need to replace something or if it's a switch somewhere.

There's 2 bulbs that light the LED there. Just changed out one of mine that died - took 5 min. Here's some good pics and the bulb #'s:

There are a series of small bulbs that light different parts of that display. They are easy to replace. Do a search on it, there are many threads on this issue, with part numbers, diagrams, and how to posts.

Installed a 1.5" 4Crawler body lift last night just in time for a short trip tomorrow. Bumper gap is quite large with the ARB and the lightweight support brackets near the headlights are being pushed into the bumper since they are mounted to the body. Thinking I'll pull the bumper off sometime and maybe elongate some holes to slide it up higher. Also the hitch gap (between hitch receiver and bumper) is approaching hideous levels with the low riding load-distribution hitch to begin with, maybe a rear bumper one of these days to fix all of that.

amazon has the bulbs... takes approx 12 seconds to fix.. easiest thing to do.. I put it off for 2 years..

I replaced all the cabin lights with LEDs. Very nice and way brighter than stock bulbs. Makes finding things in the cargo area way easier.

Brought this little nugget home yesterday. My second and another girl. We didn't know until she was born.

On another note the day before, since I knew I wasn't gonna have as much free time to do it, I blacked out my head lights. Took several hours between removal, disassembly,painting, assembly and re installation. But looks good on the black 4Runner. Also plasti dipped the chrome grille.

Started the morning off by changing my t stat and fan clutch on my 88 runner haha. My 3.4 swap was running warmer than I wanted it. 198-206. Now all good with 173-183

Front end Friday! New UCA bushings and BJ's along with new LCA's. Time for a alignment tomorrow. I also drained and filled me rear diff after the 500 mile break in period for my new gears and locker.

Changed the rear differential fluid....Christ I hate the smell of gear oil. Also replaced the rear brakes with Napa Premium pads and rotors

Managed to repair my air mode damper servo. I used this video to fix the actual part. Taking it out was a completely different story (I definitely cheated a little) but it all works great now. Before I was getting no air through my dash and very little through the floor. I now have very distinct mode changes with each button push.

Did a tire rotation earlier in the week, started fishing-tailing on my way into work this morning after a light rain. Guess my tires were worn more unevenly than I thought. :hiding: Front passenger had excessive wear on outer edge, think it was caused by worn balljoints and bushings.

Ordered new tires for under $500: 265/70 Falken Wildpeak AT3W

The question is, leave my current tires on for the summer and make sure the uneven wear is gone, or just throw the new tires on and cross my fingers. Current tires are mostly ~9/32, I hate to toss them when they have so much thread left.
