Not by Toyota. I'd stick with OEM but feel free to use whatever. FWIW I'm a machinery reliability engineer.

Did you have to buy the caps separately? Camburg ships their arms direct with caps, but it's about the same price as buying the caps as extras I think. Either way, make sure you lube up those bushings like I said in the UCA thread, or else you'll be replacing them like I am soon.
As far as what I've done today, nothing, but I'll have pics next week hopefully. I ordered up a Whynter 45qt fridge and I'll be wiring up a bussman fuse box this weekend to my house battery along with some added ports and switches for the cargo area to power the fridge! I need to put this spare battery to work.

I did order the caps separate, but price was still great through Wheelers. I used all 4 lube packets and didn't skimp at all per your recommendations! Thanks for sharing. Install was a breeze. No battery removal, no bending fender, and no WTF moments! All done including a trip to auto parts store for blue Loctite in about 3 hours flying solo.

Yeah I didn't have to remove the battery, but I did have to loosen it so I could push up. Same with the brake line bolts to push them out of the way. Glad it went smooth, that UCA bolt sucks!
Well yesterday I went to replace my stock front struts and coils with tacoma parts. I'm not extremely mechanically inclined but I was able to do the rear shocks and I'm slowly learning.
I got everything ready and held the top of the strut with the 8 mm wench while I went to loosen the nut, and the hex part at the top of the strut just twisted off.
I planned to cut the top of the strut off, so I went to loosen the bottom bolt holding the strut and it wouldn't budge, even after pb blaster all week. I gave up at that point and replaced my sway bar bushings and got 1 of two end links replaced with the custom ish end links on here.
The second end link I tried to cut out but couldn't get it cut with a Sawzall so I'm going to need to pick up a grinder.
Lots of frustration but I'm learning a lot. Looking to find a mechanic who will do the coilover swap. Any guess on what the coilover swap with alignment would cost? Thanks everyone, I've learned so much and appreciate all the great people,.

I would order new tophats from Amazon, the kyb parts are like $23. Then cut your old ones off and have all new hardware. That little rubber bushing is probably shot anyways, or it will be in short order after lifting.
Make any trips up north? I'm 6 hours North of you, I've had mine out several times now.
Thanks for the reply. I do have the kyb sets on the way, should be here Tuesday. The plan was to reuse if the top components looked good and wait for the kyb if not.

Edit: I don't really get up north much, to Rochester ny sometimes but with little ones family trips are always hectic as is.

I would cut the 3 bolts off with a grinder, drop it down, them put all new parts in. Sucks when they get like that, gotta love salt!
I know all about the hectic kid thing! #4 is 8 months and teething! Ugh... Lol

Swapped out my front sway bar bushings with some poly bushings. Holy crap were the old ones worn out. Still there but akin to the automotive version of hotdog down a hallway, floppy and sloppy. If its any indication the bar hit me in the head when I pulled off one bushing, the slack in the other one wasn't holding the bar at all. No more "Clunk" over small bumps and improved my cornering significantly.
