I got those same ones.
They were kind of silvery looking, but they rusted after the first moisture hit them. It's probably too late, but you may want to paint them with caliper paint. I wish I had, and it is on my to do list.

UGH thanks for the heads up they said they were anti-rust coated..
You should have seen the ones that came off, holy shit they were bad.

Been pretty busy with the runner the last couple days. I plasti dipped the rims, door handles and emblems. Installed the light tube and led bar i got froM [MENTION=93512]MojaveMadMan[/MENTION] . And had my cousin paint my mirrors and grill to match the runner i loved the way it came out.

Where you moving in Gapicked up and installed the roof rack/basket i found on craigslist for $130. thing is huge and fills the roof. will come in handy when we move to GA in a few weeks.

I've been pretty inactive on here lately due to work and a KZ650 project bike I've been putting a lot of free time into. I haven't done much to the 4Runner lately, but I have a few updates:
-Got the AC system recharged... I was short about 2lbs of refrigerant so that explains why my compressor was angry and starting to tick. All is fine with that now, and I have been periodically checking for leaks (UV visible refrigerant).
-I had my dash replaced for free on Friday, very happy with the service. It took a bit longer than expected for the dealer to receive my dash (6 months instead of the estimated 2), but I really can't even complain about that, because no more cracks :thumb3:
-Planning on purchasing some JBA Offroad UCAs in the near future, so keep an eye out for that.

Tackled Removing the Window Visors
They must have been on there for while b/c they were brittle and busted off in pieces even using fishing line to cut through the 2 sided tape. ONce i had most the tape removed it seemed as if the last layer was baked into the paint on the window sills. After about two and half hours i was able to get 3 of the 4 visors off and about half the two sided adhesive tape residue off the window sills. My biggest fear is that i wont be able to completely remove the tape and ill have to reinstall visors to cover up the damage i caused by failing to get all the adhesive off. :lasercannon::rant:

What kind of roof rack do you have? Anymore pics?
I thought it was more common, but I didn't find it on google. Here are some pics. I got it on craigslist from a former XJ owner. I cut it to fit the 4runner. No idea the brand or model. I may have it bent to align better with the slant of the roof, but for now it's fine. I removed the top bar from the front as well.
The can and holder were added later.
The wind fairing was DIY method from a thread on here.
Pretty common with cheap windshields. Make sure to get a quality one like Pilkington or something.

Finally put OME rear coil springs on today...
I am running a full 5th gen suspension which
gave me zero lift just was a brand new take off
from someone local. I am running a daystar spacer up front.
Stock 5th gen shocks for now.
Next on the list is remove running boards and get some decent tires...

All I did was buy an '07 and drive it home. I'll miss some things from the '06 Tundra like the full gauges. I like seeing oil pressure, water temp, ammeter on the dash when I fire up the 4.7. I won't miss a few other things like the 218" length, difficulty loading and unloading the bed with the topper.
