What did you do with your 4runner today?

We drove our kids to the annual blueberry festival a couple towns over from where we live. Our boy insisted we drive my T4R. I insisted we park in between the 3rd and 2nd gen parked at our little garage in town. Hubby snapped a shot of all of us.

I want to spend 1500 on my suspension kit. Im hoping that comes with front and rear kits. Is there a site for suspension kits within that price range.

So on my 3rd attempt I FINALLY got the bolt out of my lower shock mount on my front coilovers.

This process has been a PITA but its out and my new bushings are in.

Here is how bad the bolt and heim joints were.

I guess you'll be putting antiseize or white grease on with the install.

Drove from Portland, OR to Twin Falls, ID. The Icon rear shocks with the 220lb Radflo springs is awesome. The 5100s were great with FJ, but sucked with stiffer Radflo stuff.

I just noticed it yesterday at work on parking lot. It's the engine oil cooler lines leaking oil.
Of course no one has have to wait till dealer opens see what they can order. Leaking right where they tacked it to the wet bracket.

What a bummer. We had a 2004 T4R for a short time that was incredibly rusty. This was one of the issues we dealt with. Hope you can get her fixed up and back on the road. Good luck!

I stand corrected [MENTION=126194]07V8[/MENTION] ! Your right it was the transmission cooler lines !!! Soon as it sat a while it cooled down I guess and color completely changed red/purple looking . The transmission is sealed so I can check or add without the tool that screws in right ?

Been there, done that, on both of my '03s. Also power steering lines on the SR5.

Today, I just finished replacing the right rear wheel bearings, seals, and a new ABS sensor. Still need to replace the right side parking brake cable. The bolts sheared off when I tried to remove them to pull axle. No body in local area had one in stock. Rock Auto will deliver one on Tuesday, I hope. Bearing noise much better, but still have to do left side soon.

My Buddy finally got his beach pass and came out with us on the outer beach with his Brand new 2016 Tacoma Trd Offroad that I sold to him.

After a hellish Friday night that consisted of waiting at the airport for 7 hours for a delayed then cancelled flight which caused me to miss a good friends wedding, the lady and I drove up to Steamboat for the weekend. We drove Buffalo Pass, camped out with an amazing view and then hit Strawberry Hot Springs before heading home.

Loaded it down, went to the Tennessee knock out (TKO). Basically the hard enduro of the United States.
It rained so much overnight that early this morning the awning (I have the tent room that attaches to the awning) the awning supports broke. Pretty much my fault for not having lean set into the roof. [emoji52]

Just got a higher mileage 4th gen. Over the past couple of weekends I've changed out the rotors and pads, bled the brake and power steering fluids, and installed eBay head lamps. I can't believe how much the head lamps refresh the look of the car. This coming weekend, I'll be doing a transmission fluid exchange.

Built a firepit

Hauled all the material for said firepit in the 4Runner which was squatting a bit handling all the weight

My assistant then decided to just watch me build the firepit

Ended my day by driving around and seeing this bad boy and then obliviously being green with envy



Finally won this dog house at a charity auction and now need to go get a trailer to tow this 7foot by 4 foot monstrosity home. Hey at least it's a tax write off and went to a great cause


I'm tired and sore.
