Re white paint, after 11 years of owning a white Xterra, two words: never again.

Wait til you work on HondAcura's Milano Red or "Pink". It fades to pink so quick just sitting in the sun and bleeds like a stuck pig on your pads and towels when detailing.

I swore off black after my last vehicle, but couldn't pass up on a SE, but it happened to be black. Oh wells. This truck sits outside while my detailing supplies and equipment are slowly collecting dust waiting for the next time it'll be used.

I got my light bar wired up in preparation for camping over labor day weekend.
Does anyone know what specific wire I can tap into to get the switch to illuminate when I turn the headlights on? I've done some research and haven't found any answers yet.

I used the mictuning switch from Amazon and tapped into the center diff lock switch circuit. On the center diff lock there are 3 gray wires and 1 green. The green is for the dash light circuit and that's the one I used.

Today I'm Having A Brake Job Done

Well, It's not something fun or exciting that I'm doing with my 4runner today, but it is important and keeps my family and I safe which is a needed brake job. My Mechanic is replacing the two front calipers because the pistons have seized and replacing all brake pads and turning the rotors for a whopping $775.00. :crybaby:
I would have rather spent that amount of money on a lift job or towards my paint job that is needed. So I will be pushing those two jobs to the back burner again for a few months.

If you're considering a car payment, may as well not get a 5th gen and up it to a LC or something worth having a payment for...the 5th Gens will make you regret your car-payment-decision after owning a 4th gen...just saying

Good ups. I bought my V6 with 142k on the clock, and it looked like it still had the original copper plugs. NGK in one bank, Denso in the other.

Good ups. I bought my V6 with 142k on the clock, and it looked like it still had the original copper plugs. NGK in one bank, Denso in the other.

Mine was the same. Im sure it was just the previous owner being picky when they replaced them last time...right?!

Spent the day at home on the lake. The wind blew our boat to shore and I got to tow it back out with my T4R. Took a boat ride. Awesome day.

Replaced ps fluid in bother rigs today. Unfortunately I found grease sprayed all over the underside of the passenger side of the gx. That'll have to wait until it get cooler....

Doesn't sound like much but did my first oil change myself. It's difficult in the city especially living in an apartmentt but I was neat doing the work in my apartment garage and took the used oil to O'Reilly's for free recycling.

The dealer where I usually take it stressed me out because I simply don't trust anybody anymore.

Used the usual M1 Extended Performance 5W-30 synthetic with the oversized M1-209 filter. I keep the OCIs around 6-7k with this setup.

Changed out my front and rear diffs and T case with Mobil 1 synthetic and changed my oil and filter with Mobil 1 synthetic as well. Broke one skid plate bolt too :ybrick: I've still got to fix that but it'll be ok for a little while. However I do need new skids, it took me 30 min to put them back on and line them up. Wheeling has seriously mangled them. Hopefully Santa's elves know how to make some Butbuilts

@07V8, you may know this but some Walmarts will recycle the filter too.
