Well I had a bad day. After the right rear brake had been making noise for some time. (I should have taken care if it...) I experienced total brake failure today. My dash lights all came on and there was a high pitch siren noise I got where I was going and was able to stop and found the brake line in back had leaked out and I had no brake fluid. Taking it to the shop Tuesday to see what caused the problem. My wallet waits in heavy anticipation. Glad I wasn't hurt or wrecked.

You need to change out that climate control bulb!!!
It blew on Friday. replacement is already on the way.

I did, it definitely has more pep when you get on it. The sound is also pretty addicting, so your MPGs may drop a little based on your right foots new habit
I've heard you get the most out of the CAI paired with a new exhaust and upgraded MAF sensor (those are on the future list), but it's been worth it to me so far!

Not today, but yesterday I took my first road trip in my 2016 TDP. At about 200 miles round trip (half of that with a loaded trailer, then back home again with the empty trailer), it was a little slower than usual, but I just took my time and enjoyed the ride to the mountains with my wife.
I also had the truck "off road" for a few minutes. I pulled the loaded trailer up a steep and seldom-used driveway in L4 with no trouble at all. It's the sort of driveway that I'd never even attempt in a regular 2WD vehicle, but the 4Runner handled it easily. We were both impressed.
Today? Well, today I gave the truck a good bath, of course. Gotta look good for my suburban commute tomorrow. But I sure was tempted to go find another hill to conquer!

Was a long evening last night and morning today, but definitely needed! Will try and get some pics in the next day or two!

hit imogene pass from ouray this weekend. got a little sketchy as we were approaching the top since so many people were coming down and some didnt seem too experienced in ettiquite.
i learned a) its best not to hit popular trails on holiday weekends and b) if you ignore point a, hit the trail opposite of the route that the popular 4wd trail book recommends, which we did thankfully.
overall, it was an awesome trail that pushed my limits and reminded of how badass and capable a 4runner is in a world full of jeeps
and some scenic shots

I'll be updating my build thread, but: new steering wheel w/ phone functions, weathertech mats, sport hood LED light, CAI DIY tubing, painted headlights black, relocated brake controller, limited grill, blacked out emblems, TRD stickers installed, chopped stock muffler off, painted roof rails, mounted new wheels to tires but not on car, and some other things I'm sure.

One of my fondest memories is my wife and I renting a J*** (sorry for the language) on a trip out there to cross the Continental Divide through Georgia Pass. It was awesome. All makes me wish I lived closer to CO!
