Scored some tred pros through a member on here. Wrapped the factory crossbars in neoprene I had left over from failed fender liners and strapped them down with rok straps. Here's to hoping I never have to use them but with being winchless this is the next best thing.

Yes I worried every second I was in Lowe's today. Cable lock for when outside for loaded trips or when used and muddy but also got a mount for inside that I haven't drilled holes in my double deck for yet.

I tried to reboot a spare oem half shaft and only got so far before I realized that no matter what I was not getting the snap ring back on without the proper tool....

It arives on Monday.

Thanks for the kind words. Just got back from Buxton. Awesome trip. Only problem is I just installed front 5th gen calipers and they rusted already... buying some caliper paint and cleaning up next weekend

Hey everyone,

Today I realized my headlights are acting pretty weird. My girlfriend sent this video when I was driving behind her tonight.

I can't start a thread yet as a new member to the forum, but has anyone had this problem before?

I'm thinking of just replacing all of the bulbs. I recently replaced the headlight housings, so could this just be the result of accidentally touching a bulb during the transfer? Although this looks like it may be electrical...

Any advice for a noob would be greatly appreciated.

OK i will bite ....so how in the hell did you bust the teeth on your diff ring? This has my curiosity.

And as far as your otterbox being screwed onto a vent mount, well its worthless without seeing if it can hold the weight of your iPad (which I'm assuming is why its not mounted in the pic) without it tilting all the way down forward facing the floor or if it can even handle hitting dips, speed bumps without flopping all over the place since you did this for your next "overland" trip a year from now. Should give you plenty of time to work that out.

It looks like to me your passenger side headlight is aimed slightly higher than your driver side.. Its a projector housing which has a sharp cutoff, when you hit bumps etc the beam pop's up slightly making it appear to flash brighter to those in front of you.

If it is doing this while parked, than you are looking at something electrical, potentially the bulb if you touched it?

That makes a lot of sense, actually. Because I don't notice anything flashing or pulsing on my end while driving, and it doesn't happen when I'm parked and try to see it for myself.

But when I'm driving I have noticed before that the passenger side is aimed slightly higher than the driver side.

I guess I'll have to go back in and try to adjust how it's aimed.
