What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally got a chance to remove the factory roof rack and install my prinsu. Was way easier to do than I thought it would be... but it did take a couple hours.

Also got a little head start towards the light bar... well, at least I got the switch location figured out. Now just have to get it mounted and wired up. :biggrin1:

Painted my new 5th gen calipers and Plasti dipped the back bumper. Real happy how it turned out.

So amped about this that I have to post in two threads.

Called into my nearest Toyota dealership to inquire about dash replacement. They tell me to bring in my 4R immediately, sight unseen, because they have only one in stock that matches my VIN. Looks like most people in the sticky'd thread have had to wait close to a year! Just dropped it off about an hour ago, and they shuttled me back to my office. Mentioned that they would come pick me up, too, if needed.

Yeah... I haven't settled on it yet. I'm looking for the "cleanest" way to do it... I've read it can be done going down the A pillar. But I haven't looked closely enough at it yet. If you have any ideas (and pictures!) - would love to hear/see 'em.

I went to the Pacific Forest Rally in Merritt, BC. This was my first time attending a Canadian rally and it was awesome! I had to do some last minute mods because there was concern about the amount of tread left on my other tires... I mounted my 285/75/17 BFG KM2 tires that I re-grooved.

I mounted the tires and drove home with no issues. Slight rubbing at full lock and when going over a decent bump.

I did the body mount chop and a bit of trimming to the fender flare.

The first stage of the rally was run at night on Friday. This was new to me, I am used to being dog tired when the night begins to fall. We staged at the start of the first stage.

When I woke up the last morning, I walked out of the Hotel to find out that I was parked next to the points leader and #1 for the rally!

I had to replace my battery today and after shopping around a little I ended up with a Duracell Ultra Gold for $116 out the door. Never had a Duracell car batt before so we shall see... No need for an Optima but this one seems like it should do the job just fine. Specs below.
