Pro-tip:
Zip tie the spring to stay compressed, assemble, then cut the zip tie. Goes from a 30 minute job to a 3 minute job.

Worked perfectly! I just purchased the truck (V8 4x) a month again W/ 200k on it. Put the lift on it and went through the hole truck before we left San Diego for the holiday. Got 16mpg on the trip. Even w/ doing 80-90mph at times.

Was just looking around at some Cyber Monday deals and I came across a company called Bomber Products. They have a pretty interesting product called the Awn-Lock. Looks beefy and like a good way to mount an awning pretty securely. Anyone ever seen these in action or use one themselves?

True. Any ideas on how to make a good mount for the stock rails? Been looking around (poorly I might add) for the past few weeks and haven't really come up with anything great.

Well I did nothing today, but the body shop called and says that the insurance has authorized repairs! Pretty solid list - about $5500 in repairs. Not sure how long it will take them, but hopefully they get it done right. Doesn't seem like anything too crazy, just sad ol' Cap'n has to go through this. Will post pics once it is all complete (since I never got to post pics of my new OME suspension :eyebrows

Got bored again so I tried the VHT nite shades on my tails. 3 coats of that and 3 coats of clear, I don't love it but it looks nice. Just Until I find some smoked tails that I like

Front sway endlinks by autochassis on eBay to match the rear sways
SPC adjustable control arms camber kit
Energy bushings front sway set (30mm I think)
Energy bushing rear sway set
Sway bushing sizes vary per engine/model so make sure you know the size of your sways, I sure hope I ordered the right ones
Hopefully these new parts can bring my wheels back to spec, ever since my accident they have never been aligned correctly. I'm trying to upgrade parts as I go to prevent future problems as well as increase the suspensions integrity. I can't waaaaaaait

u already kno bout the skyjackers, but i put almost exactly the same parts on too. those gold front links look pretty nice, not sure theyre really gonna be visible like the jackers tho. doesnt really matter anyway lol. good stuff though.

Pulled an apx 3000lb Trailmanor trailer with the Runner loaded with maybe 500lbs cargo/passengers 715 miles on I25 into New Mexico. The pic is pre-Boss kit and airbags.
Easy pull. Runner a wee bit jumpy in VERY strong crosswinds. I saw a windsock and it was straight out. I guess with the short wheelbase that's to be expected.
MPG's:
65-75mph, letting it lose speed on hills, avoiding downshifting, but stop&go through Albuquerque on sidestreets to bypass gridlock on I25 = 11.1mpg.
60-72mph all I25, letting it lose even more speed on hills, much less time in 4th gear = 12.7mpg. That's pretty good.
Nice little trailer, this is the first time we've set it up outside the driveway. Set it up in the dark at 9PM out in the boonies north of Deming in a howling wind. Takes about 10 minutes for the basic expansion, then time to get the bedding arranged, etc, etc. Here it is 11PM and we've walked the dogs, had a snack, had a few beverages, hooked the generator up.
Didn't even have to unhook the hitch, the front of the trailer opens without unhooking. Can't open the Runner rear hatch but that's not a big deal.

Had to order OEM coolant because 4runner is SUUUUUCHA PRINCESS. No but I read that it is bad to mix foreign coolants (OEM red and standard auto store green) it like cancels out and dilutes eachother. Idk
u in colorado? i just took my rear 5100's off. about 20k miles on them, u can have the set for 100 bucks.
Not in Colorado, but thanks for the gesture! I guess I need to update my sig. I'm in Frederick county MD. Haha you're not the first person that's thought I was in CO though.
