What did you do with your 4runner today?

What a Christmas eve...had a wonderful day snowboarding Mt. Bachelor. Truck was great and we had a wonderful day.
Went to Christmas mass and then my girlfriend had to drive back down to Portland because she has to work tomorrow (she is a nurse) and so I put her in the 4runner thinking that she will be safe and sound.

Two hours later I get a call and she can't go over 10 mph uphill. She was going along at 65 and all of a sudden it dropped to 10 and all lights went on.

She had stopped for gas right before leaving town and had checked the gas cap but no change.

I'm actually wondering if the attendant put diesel in...

To me it sounds like a fuel problem but no idea.

Very frustrating night and a helpless feeling.

1. I don't know the answer, but I really can't imagine it voiding your warranty. You honestly can't even see the magnets; they are really small, and essentially blend in with the reflective materials inside the light. You have to get up really close to see them.

2. Magnetic strength actually increases with colder temperatures, to a certain point. This link explains what I'm describing: https://www.apexmagnets.com/news-ho...hat-happens-to-a-magnet-in-cold-temperatures/. Snow and ice, like anything else, could impede the magnets if they sandwich between the ones on the light and the ones on the cover. But that wouldn't be an issue if the cover was either totally on, or off, during inclement weather.

I see what you mean. Hmmm I think one (or more) of these will be on my short list of mods......they are just too damned cool!

Sold my 3rd gen now onto the 4th Didn't want to start a thread but do you guys think that a 2004 with 148XXX sr5 4x4 sunroof is worth 10,000$ it has a lot of history reports and is black exterior paint looks to be in good condition and interior looks amazing keep in mind that i am in California. Also it is from a dealership.

Merry Christmas to me! just ordered KO2's in 265/70/17. Very excited to put 1" bigger tire on my family cruiser after we did the 2/1 lift last week.

You'll love them. Just put mine on Friday and it's made a world of difference. No longer hear what I thought were bad wheel bearings. They're so quiet and ride pretty good. Haven't had a chance to test how capable they are yet, though.
