Finally did the headlight mod

Prepping the new front calipers for installation. Since the previous calipers rusted to crap I'm being proactive with these new calipers by painting them. No bright color, just a subtle pearl black ( VHT Engine Metallicâ„¢ -- High Heat Coating )

I'm also treating the surface rust at the frame rails up front while the wheels are off; trying Rustoleum rusty metal primer on the passenger side and Harbor Freight Rust Reformer on the driver side,then topcoat both with gloss black chassis paint.

Letting everything dry at the moment...

Got the tires installed. 285/75r17. Surprisingly no rubbing at all. But I know it will when it flexes. So I ordered some total chaos UCAs. Should be here tomorrow.

Dog found the compressor and chewed the wires...I used it as an excuse to hardwire and mount it in the engine bay a la [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION]. It ain't fancy by any stretch of the imagination haha, but it frees up cargo space too.

lifted the truck.
bilstien 5100 at 0.85 with moogs fj springs, the front is high, need to adjust my lights now, how long does it take to settle? also no more floating feel. guess my x reas is gone.

Yesterday was electrical day on my truck.

After buying an antenna mount I couldn't make work, I got this comet rs720 cb antenna mount. It looks great and is fully adjustable.

Next, I worked on getting my sPod set up. Here it is mounted on my fuse box lid. Getting the cat 5/6 cable through the firewall was a hassle, but the rest was pretty easy.

I also mounted up a rear light bar up on my roof rack, new battery top posts, and will have some better after pics when we wrap it all up today.

Also, if anyone is looking for an action cam, Best buy has the Sony x1000 for half off right now at $199. I just bought on for this upcoming trip. I'll probably put up a review once I can test it out, but I'm stoked on the features. 4k video, and stereo sound, both better than the GoPro. Also, you can use wifi to use your phone as a remote control and also as a remote viewer, streaming live video to your phone.

That can't be a skid plate- it's waaay too straight and there aren't any big gouges or scratches.

I spent the day cutting, polishing, and waxing my white 4runner. I would say I have a solid 6 hours in it and I am maybe 1/3 done. Whomever said this was a 20 hour job was right on the money. But well worth it.

Mine took me 10hrs the first time I detailed mine. But that white paint was so buttery feeling. If you post pics when you are done it may motivate me to do mine again when the weather cooperates.
