Looks good, but what were you using spring compressors for? Take the brake line brackets off and let the axle hang down. If it doesn't hang low enough use your Jack and push it down further. Way easier than dealing with spring compressors.

Because generally after doing a lift people go with bigger tires and without the spacers you'll end up stuffing your tire. It won't do a lot of damage, but you will start to tear stuff up. And it sounds crappy when your tire is all up in it. They won't limit up travel enough to affect anything negatively on the trail.[MENTION=136708]TexasRemedy17[/MENTION], or anybody else, do you know why Toytec includes the rear bump stop spacers? You really shouldn't need them with the 5100s, they will just limit your up travel. I would like to see somebody confirm this by cycling their suspension making sure the 5100s don't bottom out before the stock bump location but I'm pretty sure they won't.

Slowly getting our 4runner ready for camping, installed brake controller and trans cooler so we can pull our very heavy 2k# Aframe trailer...lol. I used a Tekonsha Prodigy® P2 controller and the trans cooler is a Hayden 678 plumbed in line. I still have to hook the hoses up, but tomorrow is another day. Still cold out so taking it slow. Also flushed the power steering by following instructions I found on this great site. Put the window visors on last week.

took the truck in for alignment, i think the numbers could be better.
anyone with better numbers? this is moog fj springs, bilstien 5100 at .85 and stock uca. took it to 2 different place, first place didnt have time, second place i went twice since the steering wheel was slightly off.

I feel like I betrayed it, lol. I test drove a GX470 and am considering making the change. The 4Runner has been great and has retained enough value to undo some bad decisions I made in the past (2013 Ford Fusion.. Never again). Going to look at more Wednesday and make my decision! Plus, I've been dying for a V8.
Go with your gut feelings.

?? Looks like they just did toe and go. Didn't even touch the LCA adjusters, are yours rusted solid like the usually get?

6 full days at the dealership and they finally fixed my baby.
A blown fuse, multiple corroded/disintegrated wires coming from the fuse box, and a short with the starting relay. Should be getting her back tonight. Talk about a roller coaster of emotions. :wtf:

Frustrating and I'm sure not cheap....but at least it's resolved.
I melted the dash wiring harness in my 3000GT because I decided I was going to play with electricity without knowing anything about it when I was in high school...I feel your pain.

Same thing here. I went to firestone on broadway, who blamed the lack of caster on the tires and lift and then big o in san leandro who couldnt do anything either and said the same thing.
Only place i found that can usually get it right is big o tire on alameda. Yeah there kind of expensive but they seem to get it right the first time.
Are you within the range of the OE UCAs with your lift?

When i had my 4runner in the body shop for front end damage. They had to do the alignment and i requested for high ass possible caster with slight toe in. This is with tacoma springs @.85. He got 3.3 left caster and 3.4 passengers. Better than any shops i paid for. Stock uca.

this place i went to didnt mess with my camber at all or other parts, i think they only did the toe.

Haha thanks man. Definitely frustrating but the dealership worked with me on the price and in the end it wasn't super bad. Safe to say that if this ever happens again I am going back to them cause they worked with me big time. Super happy with results.
And that's the thing that confused me. Every single one of my accessories and wires is separate from the factory harnesses and wiring. I've literally never touched factory wires. I like to think I know what I am doing when it comes to wiring and electrical lol. The senior tech at the dealership did tell me that my wiring was really well done though and that some of the rats nests he sees makes him just want to shut the hood and walk away hahaha.

Very happy for you that it worked out and didn't cost you a arm and a leg, kudos to the Dealership that worked with you, not many that will do that!!
