Went to the off road expo sunday here in texas. Pretty cool event, they had a obatical course with some rock crawling, the 4runner did pretty good.

2. Rocks... Inclines followed by declines
Going over crushed cars covered in rocks.

Got lucky. Girlfriends WRX was broken into last night and they didn't even touch the 4Runner. Or if they did (which wouldn't surprise me with the amount of electronics in there) they weren't able to get in.
Guy left his knife in the car and got away with some of her makeup plus 20 bucks.
Going to have my neighbor pull his video feed and see if they picked anything up.

Dang man. It's crazy that this happened to y'all. Just a few weeks ago my WRX was broken into in my driveway. 4Runner happened to be in the garage that evening, only because I was working on it. Otherwise it'd have been the other way around. There was nothing for them to take in the WRX, but plenty of valuables in the 4Runner. Needless to say, it prompted me to beef up surveillance at the house for sure. My 4Runner was broken into maybe about 8 years ago. Man I can't stand thieves.

At this point this is just a custom job, but I'm guessing it could be something he may make available. It's being built around my beat up rig with a 1" body lift so he would probably want to check it out on a straight 4Runner first. He is also going to be doing a rear for me

If I ever talk about rebooting my axles, shoot me please. I don't ever want to clean those things again. However, both axles removed and shiny now.

I can't remember the last time I actually put a key in a door lock. However, given the number of times I "phantom" lock the 4Runner, this may not be a bad idea.

Random question: do Toyota dealers CHECK alignment for free? They are ~$90 alignments but I just want to have it checked, and double-check the wear on my front end parts after putting a few thousand miles on my cheap LCAs, tie rods, and SPC UCAs.
Just tires will.

I think they offer it as a promotion at times. A lot of shops might do it for free but my guess is you'd have to be paying for some other service.

Sometimes maybe? My dealer offers an alignment check for $20? I think which applies towards an alignment should it be needed. I purchased Firestone lifetime alignment. Free alignments/checks for life. Pays for itself after the third alignment
