What did you do with your 4runner today?

Our 4Runner took us out to have my wife's Birthday dinner last night. It handled great on the mountain roads with the extra weight of two full bellies. They claim 16 oz minimum but could be up to 20oz. Sure glad the springs didn't sag as we had to drive through Idaho, cross the border into BC. Canada. Did not feel any brake fade with the extra weight as we approached Canada Customs. Of course we declared our meals at the border.

Uhhhhh, might be time to put the 4Runner on a low protein low fat diet!!

Not sure how much that steak weights but looks like that plate has over 4,000 calories on it!

Sorry, no pics. Upload speeds suck here. In the last two days I...

Swapped a K&N CAI to back to OEM.

Replaced Parking light bulbs.

Put on new Tires and wheels (Black Level 8's with 255/75r17 Duratracs.)

Seafoamed the crank, tank, and intake.

Replaced a wheel bearing.

Replaced fender liners.

Removed UCA's (JBA Offroads show up tomorrow.)

Not bad considering I only have from 8:30pm-12:00pm to wrench.

K&N CAI and 275/70r18 Duratracs on BBS RW-T wheels for sale soon.

New plugs.

Changed engine oil.

Lubed chassis (prop shafts took 12-14 pumps, hoping the stop-sign clunk goes away.)

Both Diffs. (Had to use PB blaster, heat, hammered in allen wrench, and an air chisel to get the front plug out.)

Replaced blown sub-woofer with a pioneer.

Flushed PS steering fluid. Sprayed ATF all over the headlight bulbs when a hose popped because I was trying to also get moisture out of headlight housing.

New high and low bulbs on P. Side.

She's going to the shop for an alignment, timing belt etc., sudden accel recal, cracked dash, and a block heater while the coolant is out next week.

New spark plugs today.
They might have been originals, changed at 139,300 miles.

Also trying the HCF delete. Probably won't change much.

Hauled a loaded boat, 5 people, a dog, and a cargo space full of supplies to our camp house. The 4Runner never skipped a beat. Can't help but to think my wife's 5th gen would have fussed a bit with 3 hours of hills.

where did you get those sway bar end links from? I just replaced the frame mount bushings and need to do those next, wasn't able to find any with the red bushings

They are skyjacker extended rear swaybar links.. I forgot the part number but it's the ones for an fj on Amazon

Got a set of Goodyear floormats from Costco for $13.99 (clicky).

They don't compare to weather techs, but I almost get complete coverage for the driver and passenger side. I only get a sliver of exposed carpet by the doors. More than happy for the price. Just needed to trim a corner on the driver side mat for the dead pedal.

The rear mats are tiny, but they work for me as I rarely use the back seats.

I was wondering to myself the same thing. I have been checking the threads a couple times this past week to make sure the locknut wasn't creeping up on them. You think I should tighten the locknut down some more? I wasn't sure how far I should squish those bushings down.

Yes. Tighten down until the bushings starting to squeeze and you see a little bulging. As soon as you see them bulging slightly from you tightening, stop. That's where you want to be. That gives it the right amount of tension for the sway bar links to have that bouncier smoother effect that they were designed to give. If you tighten them down correctly like above and still don't have much threads left, I would use a drop of loctite just to ensure things.

It's not a major component but I wouldn't want my new links falling off somewhere down the road, especially while I'm offroading or what have you

I didn't do it today but I'll show what I did to the wife's t4r last weekend. 2015 TRD offroad from struts with 2. 5"daystar spacer on top, eBay uca [camburg knockoff ball joint ones] rear 1.5" Ironman springs and 2.0 sway away rear shocks also threw a 1.5" Daystar rear spacer on driver side rear to help with gastank weight, new inner and outer tie rods, new bushings on front and rear sway bars 285/75r17 bfg on fj 6 spoke wheels.

Headlights turned out great, I bought a kit a while back for wife's t4r will have to do it soon. If I don't like the way it turns out I'll try what you did.

Which mall is that? :D

JK, I wish we had that in Kansas.
idk. I was following a buddy. I was kinda pissed when we didn't end up at Forever 21; I needed a new pair of skinny jeans

But for realz, the PNW is pretty much the best for offroading/hiking/exporing etc

Looks great. I really like the FJ wheels on our rigs
