What did you do with your 4runner today?

Removed the clear plastic instrument cluster cover for cleaning. It had stains on the inside around the reset button from the PO. Anyone else this OCD?

Yes, the last one I had it looked like whoever was 'detailing' it sprayed right into the same spot and there was spray on the inside. Never got to clean it though, was totaled before I could do much but it pissed me off every time I looked at it lol

Haha. I've owned it for a year and same thing...pissed me off everytime I looked at it. It has a rubber boot around it, how much crap did they spray on it?!

Never underestimate a dealer that gets ahold of cleaning products....Armorall was literally pooled in some places in my truck when I bought it.

I could be wrong but it seems your code consists of the numbers 5, 3 and 2. If I'm right then the smudges give it away, if I'm wrong I may be going blind.lol

Swapped my front brake lines to SS and flushed the system. Brakes so much nicer, bleed was long overdue

I installed sound deadener and Focal IS 690toy speakers to the front doors. The Focals add a lot more mid bass compared to stock speakers. They are being powered by my kenwood touchscreen. I'm going to amp them when I have the time to install my 100x4 amp.

Installed my new Dobinsons springs. 300's in the front and 599's in the rear. Bilstein 5100 shocks all around with the front set to the lowest clip. Tires are 265/75-16 Cooper AT3's.
Fender to ground is 37" on both fronts, 38" on the left rear, 38.5" on the right rear. This is using an OME 10mm rear trim spacer on the driver's side.

Some comparison pics to my old Moog Coils. Fronts were the V8 version, rears were the stock replacements. I previously had the Moog V8 coils with the 5100's set at the 3rd notch and now with the Dobinsons 300's up front with the 5100's at the lowest clip I am sitting 1" higher in the front. Also, I gained about 1.25" in the rear with the 599's vs. the Moogs.

The Dobinsons design seated much better in both the front and rear of the truck during the install.

While I had everything apart, I also installed new CV axles on both sides since the 115K OEM CV's were slinging grease all over my wheel wells.

Found some Mickey T tires on 16in Tacoma rims for $350 on Craigslist and after about 2 hours of cleaning up and painting put them on the 4runner and I'm completely satisfied with the result. About to put 2in wheel spacers I'm getting from the same guy since it rubs on the UCA and I'm not about to trim them up. Hopefully the spacers will solve the issue

Update on yesterday's post:
Added 2in wheel spacers and solved the UCA problem, however there was some serious rubbing issues. Took a grinder to the fender edges and took out the fender well liner and it fixed my issues completely. Can't believe I got 305/70/R16s to fit on it with minimal work
