Today I ran my '07 out of gas on the freeway and had to walk a mile with my 9yo in tow to buy an $11 gas can and gallon of gas. Too much excitement for what should have been a routine trip. While I'll admit it was at the end of my first tank of gas as a 4R owner, I was pretty surprised never to have gotten a fuel light, to have the needle two widths above E, and an indicated range of 15 miles. Surprised, to say the least.

Dude... You gotta put some jackstands under there when you work. Hydraulic jacks can and do fail, and you sure as hell won't have time to get out of the way. Could easily be deadly.
I think there is something wrong. I usually run mine 20 miles past the fuel light and still have a few gallons to spare.

The low fuel bulb maybe burned out, or you have an issue with the fuel level sensor in the tank.
I also can run for numerous miles after my low fuel light comes on, when my light comes on I usually have 3 to 4 gallons left in the tank.

So this is my new (to me) and first-ever T4R. I'm so excited to finally be behind the wheel of one of these! Anyway I wanted to give my new car some TLC so I washed it today, did a clay bar treatment, and put on a fresh layer of wax.
I've got lots of plans for this 4R!

The tracks should be greased lightly. Here in AZ grease tends to dry up and harden.

How did you paint your JBA UCA's? The only reason I wasn't going with them for my lift was the fact that they only sell them in bright red which I'm not fond of.

Your absolutely right, and looking at this picture i would say the same thing.. literally right at the cut off of the picture there is a stand, I Had a jack stand set up.. which was infront originally but i moved it just before taking this picture so I had room to get a corner with the angle grinder.

Before I put them on I painted right over the red with 3 coats of caliper paint. it did drip some initially but most of the drip is on the bottom and nobody will ever see that. however after the 3rd coat its completely coated and has held up pretty well so far.

Rusty Handle Fix
Replaced the dreaded nut that rusts under the door handles this past weekend. Wished I had done it earlier. Easy job to do, hardest part was getting the actual parts to do it. Bought them at the stealership, but had to shop around. Prices were all over the place from dealer to dealer. These are the parts number I used for job 90179-05118 nut, 90386-08066 plastic bushing, 69296-48010 bolt, and very good right ups on this forum to do the job.

Okay, whew. That makes more sense. I know it seems petty that it's always pointed out, but holding each other accountable is the only way people new to the hobby of wrenching learn how important it is. I've seen too many people do super sketchy stuff because they didn't know any better.

Temporarily fixed my clunking drivers side "customish extended rear sway link" but really considering just taking the whole damn thing off, it's so tiny it can't really be doing much anyway right? Also checked my toe alignment, spot on from my roadside alignment a couple months back even though my steering wheel is off. Rain-xed the glass and lights and finally gave the gf her cup holder back by adding a couple loops from an old freyed ratchet strap to the non existent drivers handle to hold my mobile radio.

I've had no rear sway for a while and have had no complaints. Even drove 15 hours from Cali to Washington with a mattress strapped on top and didn't have a problem with it
