FYI, Those bolts very commonly break, no one cut them off. Nice work on getting new ones in there!

I suppose you're right, they probably sheared when someone hit it with an impact wrench...

Went to the beach, took some photos...

Installed 4 new spider trax 1.25" wheel spacers
Test fit all 4 new wheels and tires..
Did even more body mount trimming, fender trimming, bumper trimming, and now that pinch weld is staring at me because it knows its about to get beat.
The rear fits perfect, no trimming required.
I am ready for the alignment now, and then ill be doing more trimming!

I tried to read through your build-thread...just tired/sleepy. So, what suspension lift do you have up front beside the 1" BL? How much lift and how high from ground to fender with the 285/75/17's? Thanks, just an awesome and very handy built. Your 4Runner looks even better now with the new tires!

Someone previously cut off the bolts holding my skidplate on, then tied the plate back on with zipties, or so the mechanic said...



Drilled the old bolts out and tapped 10mm threads in place. Two went just fine and two didn't go so great, but the plate stays on now.

I had something similar happen to my rig. If you keep having issues look into nutserts. You can get a cheap kit at harbor freight.

No body lift on mine, just a wheel spacer for more offset/clearance recently installed. I havent measured in a long time ground to fender height but I will after new tires are fully installed and aligned.

Finally installed the Battery Doctor isolator and ran cable to cargo area. Now, in one of the cubbies above the wheel well, I have an Anderson connector to keep my portable power gen topped off while driving.

New lower ball joints. Pain the the ass. In the past I have used a real press. I don't have one at home though so did it with the C clamp type. It works, but makes a 45 minute job 3 hours. Oh well, hopefully never again.
For anyone wondering, the Moog LCA ball joints work great, seem well made, and are manufactured in the USA. $27 each vs $360 from Toyota.
