different additives.. same oil.. I've been running it in vehicles this way for years, all types of mileage and use and conditions. if you change it regularly you wont have an issue. I never have.

I've been doing the same as [MENTION=85520]Billynath1988[/MENTION] stated for years as well and my 4th gen is at 300k and my 3rd is at 220k no leaks on either one
So I don't know what additive issue there is ...

Any high quality synthetic oil is fine.. the additive is just that.. additives.. every oil company uses them differently.. same as gasoline companies. Ive done black stone testing on previous vehicles before after years and miles of this.. everything came back normal or better then expected.
basically whether you mix them up.. or swap the types.. its not that big of deal as long as you change it regularly and use high quality oil..

Replaced Radiator and hoses. Been dealing with a slow leak for months. Finally tired of procrastinating over the issue.

Would you like to elaborate on your concern? If you had a tangible, well-founded concern about the quality of these fluids, I would understand and actually want to know more about it. Otherwise allow me to invoke this quote: "There is no status in overpaying."

Made a mess changing the oil and filter (shoulda :rtfm: closer :biggrin2

Got my demon eyes all wired up in the new retrofit. Finished tidying up the engine bay with all the new additional wires that were added. Thank god for zip ties and plastic trim! I think a Blue Sea fuse block will be my next order of business. Now I've got my amplifier, HID relay, and Morimoto Bluetooth controller all hooked directly to the battery. Everything is fused, but it's starting to look gaudy.

How much transmission fluid did you put in? It's such a PITA that I haven't done that since I replaced mine. It's only been a few hundred miles, however.

George is the man - that's my local spot for fresh bagels. Only few mins away from my home

There is no status in paying more , especially on noncosmetic stuff no one can see to brag about it. Just self reassurance if they got a few extra bucks, mind as well spend a little more to show some love and care. You would treat your wife the same way right? Lol.
as for the fluids, i know no such reason not to buy them because i haven't dared to try. but i rather not save $3 and end up paying $100 later. If the logical thought that gear fluid is just gear fluid, then gasoline at one gas station is the same at another cheaper gas station, and expensive tires are the same as the as the cheaper ones. One does not always equal another brand. But paying more does not always mean it is better either. Its your risk. :biggrin1:
