Had a nice afternoon off and washed and waxed my new purchase. New to this forum. Had a Tacoma and was a regular on tacomaworld. New ride is this 2004 sport with 125k miles

wassup with the speaker grill? do you guys really need to add another grill there when the door panel has one. how you liking your speakers? if you have a good deck or good amp, run the speakers active.

I dunno, just put the grill on because it all fits. I could pull them back off I suppose.

I do have a very nice deck and JL 700/5v2 amplifier. Not sure what you mean by active...I am not very familiar with settings.

They sounds great, I'm sure I could make them sound better if I knew how to set the settings better. I'll play with it this weekend.

active means , you literally dont use the passive crossovers, and the amp will be power each woofer and tweeter on its own channel, its more advance, MUST set the right frequency on the tweeter, if not careful, you can blow them. but it does give you better sound overall, youll hear a increase too since passive crossover is power robbers.

Did you bake/black out the headlights yourself? I've been looking for pics of a white 4 Runner with black lights, but nothing else blacked out on the front, and have been having a hard time finding em. Looks good!!

Received rear ICON 2.0 s but too tired to put them on tonight.

Had my in house machinist weld together the most ghetto rear axle bearing tool you've ever seen. Then we tried to press the bearing out and of course the "tool" broke apart right away. At least we're having fun. Next week we'll try ghetto tool v2.0. I took pics but somehow they came out horribly blurry.

Did the 5th gen brake upgrade on the front brakes today. I've been trying to defeat a number of shakes/vibrations and this did eliminate one of them. Hopefully I won't have to replace the calipers too soon, had 20k on one and 45k on the other before this install. I had zero fitting issues, which was nice.
Got snowed on at the end...

Taking the 4runner on a big run today, from Virginia Beach, Va to Key West Florida. After changing all the fluids and filters were setting out to see the national Power boat races and enjoy a well earned vacation

Went spray-paint crazy today preparing for winter. I had some surface rust from last winter that I wanted to cover up. Painted most of the rear all the up the frame rails to the front control arms with Rustoleum satin black.
