Accomplished 1/4 of today's plan. First had to cancel installing my new ICONs because I broke the head of one of the bumpstop bolts and I didn't want to put the shocks without the bumpstop extensions. Moved on to valve cover gaskets but only replaced one because it started raining.
Now I have to figure out how to remove the broken bolt.

Yeah as soon as I asked I went into your build thread and found out as I got sucked in for about 2hrs of read time...damn it.
Nice work brotha. Also I’m walking that thin/fine line of 35’s and wheeling stock gears I told myself I wasn’t gonna do 35’s on this rig ...that lasted a few years and a few sets of 33”s then when it came to getting another new set of tires I was offered a brand new set of 5 35”s at an irresistible deal/steal of a price ...what a idiot.

I got my 08 SR5 V6 almost 60 days ago and have been working through a list of stuff that I wanted to do. Had a DRL light burn out and decided to use the opportunity to see why the passenger side headlight was lose. I knew it had been replaced, but it was curious if something was left out when it was replaced.
Removed the three exposed screws for the HL and it came out. I noticed that the single deep internal bolt had never been replaced. In fact the old bolt was still in the hole with the broken remains of the housing tab. I removed it with a wrench and boy was it a bugger to even get to. Once I put the new HL back in I tried for a couple hours to get that bolt lined up and started to no avail. I detached the fender liner and came at it form that side, but boy my fingers are just too big for it.
Anyone got any tips on how to get that bolt started up there deep in the fender. I Eventually just gave up and will go at it again later in the week. Hoping I just missed something obvious. Did replace the DRL bulbs though.

Picked these wheels and tires up for a steal on friday and got around to putting them on sunday morning. Completely sets the truck off. I love it.

I had a bulb fall into my housing about 2 years ago. I had to remove the headlight housing to get it out. Like you, I found it real pain to get that bolt out. I did some research on how to get it back in and found a number of people who said just leave it, you don't need it. So I did. Mine's been out for two years, gone on many trips with tons of washboard runs, etc. and the headlight has never moved.Anyone got any tips on how to get that bolt started up there deep in the fender. I Eventually just gave up and will go at it again later in the week. Hoping I just missed something obvious. Did replace the DRL bulbs though.

Replaced molded PCV and vent hoses, ~$40 here's some links but eBay isn't acknowledging it's for the 4Runner though I think that is just an unknown in their categorization. Mine were just a little worn, 295k, and easy to get at.

Wish I could have gone... instead I went to Tukwila to work...
I think that was the plan of the body shop that did the work. However, every time i hit a bump at night the headlight bounces up and down and changes the aiming; both of the top screw anchors, which are nylon inserts are stripped as the screws probably pulled out when the original HL was struck and so they don't really snug up at all. It also rubs against the fender at the back corner and is wearing through he paint. I suspect what I will do is either get new inserts for the upper screws and/or get a longer bolt of the same size for that lower connector and try that as it feels like if I could just get it started in the threads....I know...best laid plans of mice an men... :wink2:.

We drilled out the broken bolt tonight but both bolts on the other side won't budge so I haven't made any real progress. I'll keep spraying them with liquid wrench probably till the weekend and then try again but I'm not holding my breath.

Added my auxbeam 32” curved light bar with caliraised flush mounts into my lower grille
Total install time was about 2.5 hours including figuring out how to remove the front bumper and get wires through firewall
Turned out clean and the bar puts out way more light than I could have hoped for being a $90 bar
First pic is just my 6000k low beams in stock projectors
Second pic is low beam and the bar
Pictures just don’t do the light justice and I have to say for the price point I’m thoroughly impressed with the bar
Total install time was about 2.5 hours including figuring out how to remove the front bumper and get wires through firewall

chasing the famous front end clunk on my runner. installed prothane greasble bushings and pumped grease, clunk still unfazed...replaced inner and outer tierods more than a year ago, wondering the next part to change......

Me too. I just got new OEM LCAs and cam bolts, just need time to install and take it for alignment. The clunk is driving me nuts. Hoping it's a shot LCA bushing. I'll update after installation.
