went to get an alignment...

thinking i needed one, only to be told that the bolt holding the rear track bar was loose.

They were able to tighten it but im going to need to replace it. Truck drives really well :beer:

Changed my spark plugs after 136k miles. They were in surprisingly good shape. Took about 90 minutes and the hardest part was going to the store to buy socket extensions and pivots.

Today my pride and joy got an injury. I backed out of my driveway and my neighbors trashcan near took out my mirror. Thinking it’s just popped out of place and praying it’s not broken because can not afford that right now.

redid some wiring, some big 3. also everything is hydraulic crimped and heat shrink. everything is knukonceptz kolossus fleks kable 1 gauge. this stuff is so flexible, thats why i been using that brand, 4 gauge and 1 gauge ,good stuff at a cheaper price.

I did get the TYC versions...I washed the truck yesterday and the passenger side showed condensation so I reordered another from RockAuto. I will double check the seals next time.

According to my GPS, the difference is near negligible. With the stock tires, 70 mph indicated was actually 68. With the 265/70's 70 mph indicated is actually 71 (per GPS).

Using the Scan-Gauge II, it's roughly only 6% higher for speed than what your dash shows...I wouldn't balk too much at that and if anything, you're set up better if you choose to sell it...less miles means more money in your pocket...fear not, though...it's not that much different than the stock tire size and I wouldn't stress too much over it....

Same for me. But by the time you get near the 80s the difference is over 2 mph. I marked when I changed the tires and just remember that the 265/70s are 1.033 times larger in circumference than the stock tires. It's not a whole lot but by the time you put 30,000 miles on the new tires your odo will be 1,000 miles off, so it does make a slight difference.

Got an Old Man Emu suspension and trim packer (shocks/struts/springs) installed on Monday. I bought my 4Runner with 132K miles on it and the original suspension was completely worn out.

I didn't get to do much driving yesterday as the install and alignment took all day but driving on the way home I could definitely feel a difference in how the truck handled all the bumps and dips.

I almost fell out of the truck when I was getting out as I completely misjudged the distance to the ground...lol

I'll wait for my current tires to get worn down and will then look at putting some AT tires on the truck.

True. But, if you've run the stock tires for the previous 185,000 miles, your odometer would be lower than the actual mileage since it was under-reporting previously. The way I see it, I'm just evening things out. :happy:
