Does that black plastic piece around the light just pop or snap off and on?

More or less. It has four tabs. I just under the bumper and push two of them out then the rest pops loose. Just stick your head under there and you'll see what I mean. No tools required.

Thats crazy how your flare is faded, but the trim/gasket around it isnt. On mine, all the flare trim/gaskets are faded horribly, but the flares look fine

I just noticed that mine don't have any vinyl trim. Is that out of the ordinary ?
Where do you buy the wrap material ? My flares are faded terribly.

If you have a plastic panel tool, you can just wedge it in between the bumper and the black bezel and it will pop out

Bought 5w30 oil for an old o change and noticed that last time i used 5w20
Living in northern Maine will it be a problem for me to use the 5w30 or should I try to return it for 5w20?

Our V8's take 5W30. If you're referring to cold weather start-ups due to the viscosity, you'll be just fine. I run 5W30 all year long.

Finished swapping out my headlight bulbs to Philips H9 and 9011s. Tested the 9011s last night and they're a vast upgrade. Will get a look at the H9s tonight or tomorrow night.

My thoughts EXACTLY. So clean you could eat off it.

Hopefully one day I will get around to that, had quite a few vehicles I wanted to really clean the underside. Never really had the motivation.

Must be nice living in the south! Canada leaves much to be desired on most of the vehicles here. Even taking off rusted bolts takes 5 different tools!~

Been a busy last few days for the old girl...

Last Wed. night I discovered I had a frozen piston in my front brake caliper

So, Thurs. got that fixed, a fluid flush and new pads and rotors installed.

Tax refund came in last week too... so what wasnt used to fix the caliper got used to pay off the loan last Fri. afternoon arty:

And lastly, Sat. met up with a several forum members for a snow run. Lots of fun.

Not today, but this Sunday/Monday I changed my oil and filter, installing a fumoto valve in the process, then got my Daystar 3/2 kit installed! the drivers side upper ball joint seems original, and untouched, but the factory castle nut rounded off a little easier than it should. checked 5 auto parts stores, 3 hardware stores, and couldnt get just the nut. most economical option was buying a new ball joint ($45 was the cheapest available that day) but I got it together, found a place that had time to align the front wheels again without an appointment, and was back on the road. if it wasnt for the nut, the whole thing couldve been done in 8 hours easy.

Didnt get around to installing my TPMS bypass switch though, so that'll be coming soon.
