Got my roof top tent!

I finally installed my roof top tent yesterday. Almost ready for the back country. I still need a fridge, stove, water tank, sink and snorkel...Oh and locking rear diff, better skid plates, the list goes on and on LOL

Did the RAS to Coil conversion. Put some coils in from a 5th GEN TE. Felt great on the short test drive at least.

Oil change day. Curious to what you guys use for oil? Anyone run full synthetic? I'm at 143k is it worth it to run synthetic now or just keep it regular?

So, according to Wheeler's, the Bilstein 6112's I ordered are on national back order and they won't be shipping them anytime soon. Sad day. I got over it quickly (after chatting with Kelly @ Wheeler's) and ordered the Fox Performance Series 2.0 Coilovers and some Fox 2.0 rear shocks to match. Was real tempting to get remote res, but this setup is already overkill for the fishing trails I navigate in my humble 2wd setup.

I've been vacillating on whether or not I should do the UCA's while I'm doing the suspension. I also got over that and ordered some JBA High Caster UCA's since I didn't piss away the extra money on remote res shocks.

It's gonna be a fun weekend once it all gets here, hopefully Wednesday/Thursday. After that, I'm certain my 16" stock wheels will look somewhat anemic. Which means some it's time to start looking at wheels. It sure is a rabbit hole! My tires have a ton of tread left, it almost feels criminal to replace them so soon. Hopefully there's a market for lightly used tires in my area!

There’s this spot out on the trails I frequently go out on that I did today, it was like a slip n slide with crisco. Got a little stuck coming back through it, the tires were absolutely caked with mud but luckily got myself out. Will be ordering a nice set of escaper buddies and a recovery kit just in case.

I tried adjusting the photo for a better reference of the area but I still feel it doesn’t do the spot justice, or show the full scale of the hills incline on both sides. Had a blast though.

Just recieved my passenger curtain airbag in the mail. Will have it professionally installed as I am hesitant to install such a thing on my own. Purchased the rig off an insurance auction and this is the first step into making it into its former glory.

Before leaving for Florida i installed a super slim 14” light bar on one of my swingouts for more reverse lighting. It will eventually be wired where i can turn it on at will but for now it just comes on when in reverse. Very pleased with the output.

Bumper cover repair

I got in a fender bender a few weeks ago and I finally had the time this weekend to fix it. I decided to repair it rather than replace because I plan on getting a Low pro steel bumper in the near future and didn't see the point to get a new cover just to cut it.

I used a Dremel, JB Weld plastic bonder, drywall tape, 40/80/320 sandpaper, bondo, primer and duplicolor perfect match. I honestly would have taken me one day, but I have National Guard drill over the weekend so I worked on it when I got home. I should have taken alot more picture of the process, but I just wanted to get it done.

Thanks. Yep, i just spliced into the reverse wiring at the tail light.

Spark Plug Replacement

I decided to replace the spark plugs because I wasn't sure if the PO had done so and there were no records. I'm glad I did! These suckers look like they are from the factory. If that's the case, they are 172k miles old. They were gapped at the time of removal .07... Almost double spec.

These suckers look like they are from the factory. If that's the case, they are 172k miles old. They were gapped at the time of removal .07... Almost double spec.

Not likely with 2 different brands in there or were you JK. Anyway, they were due......

Actually,I know its super weird, but Toyota did that at the factory pretty often, used NGK on one bank and Denso on the other bank. No clue why. When you buy new plugs at the dealer they will give you all 8 the same brand. The fact that there is 2 different ones makes it more evident that those are the original plugs.
