Installed a ram mount for my phone today after seeing a thread about it in Tacoma world. Ended up using a 65mm bolt with a ton of washers to get the ball away from the handle

I tried that mod...and didn’t like it. But I didn’t think of doing what you did with the washers. Maybe I should try again....

I was fairly productive today working on the truck. Managed to change the spark plugs, do the tpms disable mod and greased the driveshaft.

Picked up a set of late model 5th gen TForce wheels and had them installed over the weekend. I’m still waiting on my Icon front suspension to come in. Couple more weeks and I can get rid of the rake.

Installed 700lb springs

Wow what a different going from 600 to 700lb springs. It defiantly evened out the LT metaltech rear springs.

Well it is about that time. Inner boots cut. Easy peasy getting out with a little hook and latter routine. Top off fluid and clean up all that clay yuck then dirty it up again, weee!!!

Satoshi grill and Painted headlights

Finally finished up a few projects on the go and got them installed.
I had two weeks off work and got around to getting a pile of work done that built up over the winter.
1) Satoshi Grill with precut mesh from www.customcargrills.com
2) Blacked out headlights
3) Front Diff, Rear Diff and Transfer Case fluid change to AMSOIL 75w-90 synthetic
4) Oil and Filter Change and installed Fumoto Valve
5) Changed all the spark plugs to NGK Iridium
6) Installed newly painted Trail Edition 5th gen rims with KO2's for my summers
7) Ordered and installed a BlueRidge Overland Visor Molle panel
This week both my Rago Fabrication Molle www.ragofabrication.com panels arrived from the GB as well as my panel for my RTMR Fuse Block from www.powertrays.com so those should be going in pretty soon.


I completed my Deep Satoshi Grill with pre cut and pre bent mesh from Custom Car Grills
This project was a huge pain as finding the appropriate plastic repair was more difficult then I thought it would be up here in Canada. Their tutorials make it look easy and if I had the right stuff it probably would have been done weeks ago. But I'm happy with the results and have a second one to do and then probably sell that one completed.
Thoughts on the black rattle can I did? Contemplating getting the next one color matched.








I also baked the headlights and painted them. I decided not to go with black as my truck is already pretty murdered out. So settled for a Mica which fits the truck pretty good. Sort of a gunmetal Grey with some sparkly bits in it. Really happy with the results. Day after I installed it rained and both headlights fogged up pretty good so I've ordered some fresh butyl from Retrofit and will rebaked them and put in the fresh stuff. I also ordered some new clear projector lenses that I will put in at the same time and see if there is any improvement in light output. This project was fairly simple, had to trim one tab once I got inside which was a pain but got it done. Clearly not perfect the first time but baking and separating the housing is the easiest part.

Are the old ones OEM? Maybe you should get them rebuilt by this company, read about them after researching CV axles (CVJ Axles - CV Axles & Steering Racks for all your needs).

Started swapping everything over from the rusty tail gate to the non-rusty shell that I got from another 4runner. There is a lot of crap to swap over haha
