My TRD Rock Warrior shift knob came in today, and it is currently installed! I also purchased some 8mm set screws to thread one down into the hole. The knob threaded on perfectly, but it sits ever so slightly too low and won't allow me to shift into the lower gears without a bit of spacing.
The options were either use the set screws, or dremel away a small amount where it is making contact with the shift panel. Going to try the set screw first, as I'd prefer not to take a dremel to my $90 shift knob...lol
Also getting a new windshield installed today, as mine has been to hell and back after a lifetime of living in the desert. Sitting around waiting for the safelite guy to show up.

Swapped out my Icon 2.0" with remote reservoir rear shocks for a set of Bilstein 5160's. I have Bilstein 6112's in the front and wanted to go with a matched set. Initial impressions is that there is not a huge difference, although the Bilsteins seem slightly more plush. I really like the mounting plate Bilstein gives you for mounting the reservoir to the frame rail.

I replaced spark plugs and air filter, have had it since last June and wasn't sure how old the spark plugs were. It was sort of a hassle on the driver side but not too bad.

Put my black headlight housings in today. I think Amazon shipped the wrong kind though as these are most certainly the smoked lens and I ordered the clear lens only with black housing inside. These are super dark, but I think once I get my gunmetal wheels, it'll really tie it all together. My super dark tint matches the headlights, though.
Also bought a low beam LED kit that will be here tomorrow so excited to see the output of those compared to the halogens that are currently in it.

sold my ported dual 15s. going to have to run this sealed box with 1 15 for a minute. miss the bass already from the ported setup.

It may be a waste of output if I didn’t have projectors because then the reflectors would just scatter it. I think anything would be an improvemt over what I currently have.

A little over $700 after your core charge is refunded...that includes the initial gear oil and a gear oil change after the 500 mile break in period

Honestly. The color might look better, but that's it. Light output on the road is meh. It's all about proper aim. Aftermarket headlights tend to use the cheapest of the cheap. Could had a chance to buy a completely done retrofit.
Was actually yesterday, but stopped by the Lone Star Jamboree to buy a roof rack and threw it on

So I take it this means prinsu is still making/selling roof racks?
Prob going to go ahead with one later this summer and prinsu is top of my list. But I haven’t been able to find a recent confirmation that they’re actually still selling them since CBI purchased them.

CBI advertises prinsu’s site on their homepage banner. Their website seems fully functional too. Would suck if our only affordable option got crushed.

$715.50--they did 10% off at the Jamboree and no tax plus no shipping ($95) since I picked it up...ended up saving a total of about $175 vs if I had ordered online and had it sent here. My buddy bought a 5th gen so I had to go up there and pick his up--all the options they brought were standard setup with no lightbar cutout and black coating. His came with the 1x1" to clear his sharkfin which used to be a $30 upgrade so he saved a bit over $200
All in all total discount ended up being right around 20%
They are still selling racks. I had emailed Prinsu and CBI to confirm lead times about a week ago before I realized I could wait for the Jamboree to see if they had them in stock. All ordering is still done through the Prinsu website and they said lead times are 1-2 weeks (though it could be less). They had two of each rack at the Jamboree and sold about half--mainly the Tacoma ones though. They still had at least one of all the 4R options though so if you ordered soon it should be in stock right now.
