What did you do with your 4runner today?

Did you go OEM on the LCAs or Moog?

I got some cheap ones from 1aauto. Welds all look good but I do plan on changing out the OEM arms with new bushings and a moog balljoint at some point. Just needed something temp. But I will say I can’t tell the difference from the OEM ones to the 1aauto ones.

I also bought some UCAs and LCAs from 1AAuto due to the price. I also can't tell, but if it does fail anywhere, it's probably going to be the ball joint. I plan on replacing the 1AAuto ball joint with a Moog one before I install it on the passenger side. I bought Beck Arnley outer tie rods and was pleasantly surprised it's Made in Japan with the 555 stamp. Will also be buying Beck Arnley inner tie rods in the future.

Installed 1.5" body lift on brothers 4th gen in preparation for 35" tires. The radiator brackets was the toughest part. Lol go figure.

In the last month he has done wheel spacers, CMC, delta joints, rebuilt metal tech rear LCAs and metal tech rear Ucas.

Once tires are installed he is going to have a shop cut fenders/firewall if needed to clear tires at full stuff

Yea the ball joint boot seems a little thin, I was going to do the same thing and swap for moog but needed them installed ASAP so I’ll probably just run with it for a while until I rebuild the OME ones!

Did the sealed transmission service today. Dropped pan, cleaned magnets and replaced filter, flushed 14 quarts through the system. Shifts MUCH better then it use to and I had no issues before. It was just an undeniable change in shifting smoothness. Made me feel better after cursing and burning myself today for something.

How many miles since the last flush? Mine is dropping down fast enough with hard stops the feels like a kick by a mule when it goes in to lower gear when getting the gas sometimes. Thanks

Installed a set of RCI sliders from the recent gb. Took a bit longer than expected since I had to grab a tap and die set to clean out the threads on the frame. Also a set of 1.25” wheel spacers as well. Bumper trim needed in the driver side

Picked up my 4R the other day from storage in San Diego. Just got back from a deployment.

After being there for 7 months they gave me the key and said everything was fine. However when I get in to shift her into drive. I cannot get her out of park. Stepping on the brake like I usually do and it still doesn't work.

I notice the cover for the shift lock override is not present. At this point I'm more irritated about the shift lock override cover not being anywhere in sight.

I walk back inside to request information on why my vehicle is not shifting and requesting the shift lock override cover be returned to me.

They said they would send me a replacement ... I am over it and just want to drive home about two hours away. Already been a long day.

Drive it home and don't touch the car for two days. I troubleshot it to the stop light switch.... didn't even know my brake lights were not working that day until I checked two days later. $25 dollars at the auto zone later and my brake lights work and shifts out of park just fine.

The storage company is sending me a trim piece for the shift override cover that they lost or broke. I don't really care if something breaks like the stop light switch but I do want to know about it before I drive away. I sure as hell don't like trim pieces I never removed being missing upon pick up.

I do not recommend this particular storage place in San Diego. Mainly because they didn't tell me my brake lights weren't working and lost a trim piece.

Bro got his 35s installed, trimmed fender flare, plastic liner and shined her up. Does look like the body mount needs a bit more cut off to fully stuff and clear.

Load resistors in both front DRL/Turn signals in my 2008 T4 R. Good-bye hyperflash, hello front fender defrosters..... Those things get hot. Mounted them where they can get airflow and are well away from plastics.
