Further to my earlier post, these are narrated dashcam highlights of the Kentucky Toyota Trail Ride's main run on Saturday, 21Jul through the Red River Gorge in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Should be especially interesting for owners of stock or near stock 4th Gens to see what your truck is capable of given mine is stock and was even running on road tires. Not saying this was like rock crawling in Moab but it wasn't level fire roads either.

I ordered from 05taco4x4 last week! By far one of the best customer service experiences I've encountered before. I wouldn't hesitate to refer this guy. Parts came in 3 days after ordering and they are indeed great components.

Haven't done much on the old girl in a while...but went in to get inspected last weekend and FAILED (oh, the shame)
After telling me they wanted $1,500 to do 4 struts and a wheel bearing, I politely declined (all the while wondering how exactly all of the fluid managed to "leak out" of my XREAS system...hint - it didn't).
Rather than fight them on whether or not things were actually broken, I decided that this was the nudge I needed and ordered Bilstein 5100s and OME 885 & 895 springs. As well as a new wheel bearing (which was, hilariously, the quickest, easiest part of the entire job - but they wanted $300+ in labor to do it).
Did all the work this weekend at a friend's garage (thank god for his 2 post lift, air tools, and plasma cutter) and am absolutely loving the results! Passed inspection this morning as a bonus

I was messing around today and was able to remove the stone guard from my Hilux Surf 185 lamps. I can’t even remove the bulb from the original lamp so I might have to find another lamp to sub. Measures 7.5” in diameter though so the only one I can think of would be the Hella 700FF. Even if the originals worked they probably wouldn’t hold a candle to newer KC Highlites or Rigids anyway. I'm not 100% sure I want to put something like this on my 4th gen though but if I did, I was thinking of painting the shroud and maybe paint the lettering a darker contrasting color maybe. I came across the thread where I got the lights too. Surfs Down Partout [MENTION=62240]IanB[/MENTION] I don't remember if I ever thanked you for the transaction back in the day. It felt like a lifetime ago because I had it sitting for the longest time in my dining room then it went into my storage unit for 4 years haha.

I feel like I betrayed many of you since over the years I have met/talked with great like minded 4th gen owners. Since then though I have moved on to something a little more family friendly and to daily drive. Needless to say I have a 5th CPO coming my way by the end of the week! Kind of excited, but please don't shun me! Know that the new owner is a great guy and even on this forum!

I’m in the same boat kinda, when I eventually get to buying a house I will need to pick another vehicle that is both fuel efficient and family friendly for DD to get to work, so my initial plan to get another 4th gen isn’t looking to promising haha

I have a 2003 4runner that is bugging me out with regards to fixing the "check engine code1201....ASB $29." Still fuzzy about what the $29 means. I had the codes read at the local O'Riellys. This ordeal really began in March-April this year (2018) with the code for replacing a bad O2 sensor "bank 2...Sensor #2. That sensor has been replaced, and as of today 08-01-2018 it now shows as current, not is the history (channel)
I have performed the following with no success:
Taken off and cleaned ALL ASB brake sensor's. The fronts were not real dirty but cleaned anyway. The right front CV boot and Axel was replaced in DEc. 2017 so thats why I checked that one first. The rears had some grease on the probe, cleaned and reinstalled. Check engine light off, at least for apron. 35 miles....BACK ON AGAIN...What do I do now?Frustrated Aloha, DANO
