What did you do with your 4runner today?

I got them a couple weeks ago with the 20% off sale ebay was holding. I got extended travels by accident I meant to get regular ones...haha... So right now the truck is setup for 2” lift til I can install the UCAs.

Must be why it was so hard to line up with stock uca lca though. We had a hell of a time getting it all buttoned up. My friend was like wth man every time I jack up ur car now it just keeps going up [emoji23]

beautiful truck, There is something to be said about getting into something newer. And of all paths you could have taken you at least stayed with a runner. That said, there will be quite a few things you will miss about your 4th gen and a few that you definitely wont.
Although the truck is under a new owner who will probably start a build or in his case owner thread, you should keep us posted or at least provide the link in your build thread to this trucks Build on the 5th gen side. Whats your first planned mods? lol

I can tell you the thing I already miss the most is the blind spot mirrors in the rear of the 5th gen.
The first mods are some basic subtle ones. I had to convince the wife into a newer 4runner on the grounds that minimal mods.....for now. But most likely console vault, seat covers, led. From there maybe eventually satoshi. I have a few rigid sitting in my garage begging to get hooked up too. I will definitely get an updated thread once its in my driveway.

Well, if you need help or reference points.. give my buddy chris a shout. Hes touched, removed, broken fixed and changed almost if not every single part of his 4Runner probably 3 times.

I have followed Chris for a long time. I can guarantee I won't even come close to touching 10% of what he did to 4runner haha. That thing is insane!

Went to get my rig aligned post suspension install. The driver lean is real and dobinsons doesn’t differentiate between driver and passenger according to mike. Gonna disconnect the sway bar later to see if that helps before thinking about trim packers.
Waiting for my new UCAs to come in so I can get the rest of the alignment done. Looks like whatever my friend and I tried to do on toe didn’t do very much.
I also installed the diff drop that I forgot I had bought... then later I read how not useful it was. The diff didn’t even want to drop when I unbolted it. Really weird. Dropping off later today at my mechanic so he can do the timing belt and water pump since I didn’t see a sticker for it. Also replace the cv inner boots at the same time. Hopefully I’ll be good for maintenance for a while.

Yeah that’s the spacers that come with the toytec diff drove. It’s for the FJ and the 2nd gen taco too. Looks similar to some other ones like the wheelers kit.

I’m pretty sure they go above the diff, not under it.
