I paid (against my better judgement) a local detailer to clean the interior and carpets. It was SO worth it!
What did you do with your 4runner today?

I bought my 4runner today! ‘08 V8 Limited. Nav and RAS (unfortunately). One owner, 167k miles, serviced at the same Toyota dealership it’s whole life. Excited to join the 4Runner world. Pic of previous car for reference.
Clean 4Runner, but lawd that S6 Avant
Or is it an A4/S4? I don't 'Audi' particularly well, but love me some German wagons

Nothing too major but I just threw on some FOX 2.5 Factory Series coilovers on the front with the matching 2.5 remote reservoirs for the rear, and as well Dirt King UCA's.
With the lift, the OE tires were just too small. So I had to throw on some 265/70 on FN 17's.

I didn’t like the weathered gray look of the rail step pads and mudflaps. While I prefer the cleaner look of running without rails or flaps, and understand the rails don’t offer the protection of custom sliders, I prefer whatever help the rails are over nothing and taking the mudflaps off revealed so many empty mounting holes that it just didn’t look right. Plus some of the crud that they block from hitting the paint is destructive and often tough to remove.
Washing didn’t help and restoratives like Back to Black don’t last long, so I painted the pads and flaps with the excellent DupliColor Trim & Bumper paint. Did all the trim on my old Xterra with this paint and it looked great for many years so I’m 100% confident in this product when used per the directions.
1. Wash & dry item
2. Wipe with their Wax & Grease Remover & dry
3. Two light coats of their Adhesion Promoter
4. Two coats of the Trim & Bumper Paint
Takes much less time than it sounds like and the results speak for themselves.

Technically it was last weekend...
Added a C4 Fabrications LoPro bumper, and a Wilco Hitchgate.
Here's the front end tore apart.
Thankfully, as a southern vehicle its whole life, there was no rusted hardware, and all nuts and bolts came right off.
Here is the finished product, with a Warn M8000 winch.
Getting the winch un-spooled and re-spooled under tension.
I fabbed up a license plate bracket, and am working on the tool carrier, as well as a Jerry can holder.
Added a C4 Fabrications LoPro bumper, and a Wilco Hitchgate.

It's an S4 Avant and was my second Audi wagon; I too love a good fast wagon. One of like 9 Goodwood Green examples in the states. Loved it but I was working on it too much for a daily driver. Had lots of engine goodies and put out about 400 naturally aspirated horsepower. Stuck with the V8, but went for the reliable route with the 4Runner.

Purchased a 04 V8 Limited two weeks ago, in great shape but had some age-related issues. Last week I removed the x-reas shocks which were leaking and replaced with Bilstein 5100 front and back with the front set at 1.75. I kept the original back coils for now but things look lots better with all four fender heights within 1/4" of each other. I probably could have muddled my way through the removal and installation but the info here was invaluable in completing it.

I ordered an Aluminum RCI skidplate and it should arrive tomorrow. Should I paint it or install it bare?

Looks like your 4Runner is black? I say bare. Too many people go blacked out, add those splashes of brightness here and there! If you use it it'll get scratched up anyways, bare will require zero maintenance.

I was looking to do something like that. If I do paint it I would probably paint it silver or just clear coat if for added protection. I just dont want to if there is not enough gain from doing so.

Gunmetal is my go-to black alternative. Always looks better imo - particularly since black is overused. Gunmetal can also have a really nice flake in it if you get a good color. Will look *great*
