What did you do with your 4runner today?

Currently trying to diagnose a battery/alternator problem so I've been messing with wires and grounds. Still can't figure it out.

Engine oil change, plus spark plugs. I changed them at 100k miles and after reading a thread on here I took the advice to NOT use anti-seize. I do not know why anyone suggested such a thing, it went completely against my better judgement and yeah, it made removing those plugs 115k miles later an absolute PITA. I'll never make that mistake again.
Also replaced my rear wiper, so glad I finally did that.

V6 plugs are not rated for 120k intervals......

Ha, I have a Miata also. I’ve seen others on here mention them as well. I wonder how many on here also have them? Mine is a 2000SE btw.:cheers:

Mine is a 2000LS. Mainly for nice weekends and commuting when the weather is nice. Had new top put on it just before I bought it... and it still is temperamental in cold weather and does not like to close. And I ended up buying a new cluster for the Miata after all, since I wanted the white gages. Looks so much better at night.

Hunter Road Force Balancer, and it is only as good as the tech running it. I went to a place called Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin. They do a lot of big tires and trucks. It was money. That wobble at 55-65 mph is kind of a ***** to get out if you are not skilled. YMMV!

I was out running errands Saturday and discovered that the lower rear window weatherstripping on the hatch had dry-rotted and was beginning to separate.

Hopped in the truck, searched the forum on my iPhone, and within a minute I had the part number for what I needed and instructions on how to install it. I found a discounted price online and stopped in at the Toyota dealer that happened to be five minutes away from where I was. The guy honored the online price and I installed the piece when I got home.

I seriously spent less than 10 minutes total on everything involved in this repair, including installation.

They actually ride pretty good. Just a hint of tire noise but no vibration

Good to hear it wasn't a bad job! Mine's separating as well and I wasn't sure how big it was gonna be to replace it. Care to share the part number if you've got it on-hand? If not no worries, I'm sure I can find it

They are a 285 75 16 thunder trac Mt. Got them on eBay.
