Updated my "where I've wheeled" panel. Obviously it's impossible to show every trail so these are the highlights.

do only some models have that bullbar type thing on the front bumper? ive been curious about that. truck looks sick. the ATVer in my digs the cut front bumpers too, kind of like atv mx fenders.

IIRC, the partial bull bar was an option on 2003-05 models only.

From what I've read it was only an option on the 03-05 Sport models, but my 04 Limited had it. It was something like $600 for what is literally just hollow plastic.
Great pics. I'm thinking about going black on my flares since they are in such badly oxidized condition. Did you remove them to paint or just paint them on the truck. Is the bumper painted as well? Color?

Toyota WS fluid, not sure the brand.
Opted to have a local trans shop I trust do the fluid change, since it's never been changed before. Wanted their opinion on overall trans health (That and it's freaking cold out and I was lazy and didn't feel like hand pumping 12 qts of fluid)

Can the stock JBL head unit be switched as well?

Others have done it. I personally haven't. I might be interested in trying! Maybe this weekend I can look at my stock unit.

thank you! we left them on the truck and taped everything off. it is actually rustoleum spray on bedliner. the bumper isn't painted yet as we are waiting to paint the rest of the cladding at the same time.

thanks for the compliments! the bumper/fenders turned out better than i thought! as for the bull bar, it seems to be an add on option for the early model 4th gens (from my reading)
In my continuous effort to quiet down the 4runner, I've now taken out the second deck lid piece from the cargo area. Helped get rid of even more creaks inside 
Also bought some thin felt tape off Amazon, I'm going to pull the rear panels and install it behind where they attach to the body so I won't get a plastic on metal sound when its cold. Might even lay some tape down between plastic panels so I don't get a plastic on plastic noise when cold.
