Being that cold I don't see how the engine could overheat that much even without coolant!!
But I guess coolant makes the heater work much better!! :biggrin2:

I’m paranoid about blowing a head gasket.
All the fluid was pouring out and shooting everywhere. Pretty scary at the time.

Changed the rear diff fluid, cabin filter, and changed out the front two JBL speakers because the front right one blew. The rear diff was a huge pain. The film bolt wouldn’t even come off with an impact. Used a 24” breaker bar and a bottle jack to raise it until I finally heard it snap. It even broke one of the sockets that I was using. Finally got it drained and filled though with Amsoil 80W90. Only could put in 2.9 quarts with the hand pump though and didn’t have another quart; so wondering if I should buy another since it wasn’t completely full yet.

My only qualm with these is that they appear to be bulkier, maybe it's just the look of it but I think with the bolts in the corners it makes the fob a bit bigger. I really want one because I think its cool, I just don't want it to make my keys any bigger than they already are.I upgraded my key fob... very nice product!

It's obviously larger than the stock fob, but it doesn't feel as large as I thought it would. It's light-weight, feels nice in the hand, and seems very strong. It's a well-made product and comes well-packaged with an allen wrench and a nice decal. I'm happy with the black and stainless screws that I picked, but after seeing how nice it was I kind of wish that I tried one of the other colors.

Finally had a chance to finish my grill this weekend. I still want to throw on another layer or so of paint and a clear coat probably do that this weekend. I think it came out looking pretty good though.

Looks awesome! I'd love to see some up close pics and details on assembly, looks like its a Satoshi grille with a replica center section from ebay?

Thanks guys. It took quite a Bit of patience in time to get it to fit right. The grill is a TRD Pro Tacoma eBay knock off. Honestly there's not a lot to it other than you need to dremel the hell out of it to get it to slip in. It's held with nuts and bolts at the top coming in from the stock grill into the black plastic and zip tied at the bottom Into the square area where the hood release latch is located on the grill. The only real bummer is the cheap Chinese plastic they use scuffs up pretty easily so I had a ton of little scratches that I ended up covering with trim and bumper paint from duplicolor.

I threw a P0204 code, which means injector #4 failed a circuit test. No evidence of misfire so my theory is that the combination of a remarkably cold morning start and a 6-year-old battery caused the code during crank.
So today my 4runner gets a new battery and I cross my fingers.
