I replaced the valve cover gaskets at 189k on a '08 model. Unfortunately I made a mistake and missed a coolant line at the throttle body when I put it back together and spilled a lot of coolant all over the driveway. Oops. Otherwise, it went smooth... but I'll have to go to the dealership tomorrow to get some more coolant to replace what's missing in the reservoir.

TPMS Bypass

Bypassed my TPMS to get the dash light to go away. Much cheaper than paying to replace the TPMS sensors, just requires regular tire pressure checks!

AJT Design Toyota emblem overlay.

Note: the double sided tape that came preinstalled was extremely thin and would not come in contact with existing emblem. Luckily I had some thicker 3m double sided tape that I had cut to fit inside to make this work.

This will probably be my first mod- thanks for sharing!

FJ Transfer Case Swap Complete!

Finally finished up everything for my FJ transfer case swap! Here's all that remains visible of it:

I also bypassed my TPMS this weekend. I put a switch in but I don't plan to use it unless I get some great deal on replacing them at some point.

Replaced the radiator and hoses with OEM Toyota; looks like someone installed the upper hose clamp directly over the barbed end causing it to fatigue.

90k service done.

Oil and filter change along with front, rear diff and transfer case oils. Also had the fuel injectors cleaned.

Installed new Victory Roof Rack and 42 inch triple row Lightbar, plus enjoyed a night on beach stargazing!

Got it tinted. Asked the guy to make it 5% all around and a strip on the front. Shit came out dark AF. Every vehicle I’ve ever had was tinted 5% but I had never done this one in 8 years of ownership. I’m happy with how it turned out. Road trips will be more pleasant now without kids complaining about the sun lol.

295/70/17 Cooper Evolution M/Ts

Lightest E-rated MT tire I could find. Only 59lbs each. They are a fairly new tire so I was a little hesitant at buying, but from the few reviews I found they are said to be really good. Will get them mounted next week and going wheeling next weekend too.

Found a used Ultraswing on CL yesterday and got it installed same day. Had the spare mounted for 24 weeks weeks waiting on another guy to complete one. Very happy with the result. Wish it sat closer to the body but c'est la vie. Came complete with the Rago molle and camp table which I really wanted. Price was VERY fair for all of it.

Waiting on a license plate bracket with plate light so I can wire that up... debating a backup camera setup for towing...but with how it is mounted now it really doesn't affect visibility at all which was surprising. The top of the tire is barely above the middle head rest.

new rear shocks. i was troubleshooting a clunk, and it turned out that the right shock's stem had been sheared off at the mount. much better now.
