No real lag to speak of. I would say it is right on par with my daily drivers factory wireless CarPlay.

Well I finally decided to do something about the ancient audio and went a different direction than most. I am really really happy with the results.
Instead of replacing my headunit I added one of those Apple CarPlay/Dashcam mirrors. I simply have the aux wire routed through the headliner and into my factory aux-in. Sound quality actually seems great. Added bonus is my fridge and rear tire carrier totally blocks my back window, so with the rear camera I can see out the back finally! You can set the mirror up to be half camera (either front or rear), half CarPlay or full screen CarPlay. I will likely keep it CarPlay and rear camera to use it as a digital rear view mirror.

That’s pretty cool I’ve been meaning to do this upgrade as I cant even use my rearview mirror.

Newby here! Here she is. 2003 4.0 2WD Limited.
Started early with resetting VSC and Trac lights. Then went to the junkyard and picked up an Aisin LF door lock actuator and an OEM LF side window which went in this afternoon. Mine came with aftermarket front glass which is wavy and annoying AF. I'm going to do the RF glass tomorrow. Hood struts are on order and will go in as soon as they arrive. I had to have the Toyota security decal.

Upgraded my 05 V8 Sport with Bilstein front struts set on the 3rd level. 5100's all around and OME 2895 2" lift coils in the rear. Also replaced hubs/bearings, LCA bushings, CV axles, sway bar links and new Falken Wildpeak AT3's. I just tied off the XREAS and left it on the vehicle. Rides soooo much better! No more suspension clunking noises.
However, my sway bars appear off angle as the bar ends are not parallel with the frame. The front is angled down and the rear is angled up....
Needing some help with ideas to make the sway bars sit correctly. Thanks in advance! Finn

More progress. Replaced RF window with OEM glass. Previous install was botched, rubber guide bracket was off and laying inside the door. Added drivers side ceiling grab handle. Not sure why mine didn't have one. Replaced passenger side grab handle in the door card. Replaced rear wiper arm.
Why mention ethnicity at all? And claiming one group endorses "toxic beauty standards?" Why was that necessary? It's pretty offensive.
And, then above, claiming I might be happier in a magenta Bug? It's ok. You are free to say what you want. No need to beat around the bush. Just don't be shocked when someone calls it out.
The fact that you didnt see any of it, even after it was mentioned says a lot. So, you likely wont see the point here, therefore, carry on.

Dash Noise with Video and Picture
Need help with dash noise. It's not blend door actuator or air flow divert servo (sorry if I got the name wrong). I unplugged both modules and noise is still present. I thought it could be radio so I swapped that. No change. My old Mercedes instrument cluster made a similar sound but it was no where as persistent as this is. My dash noise is almost always there with key on, motor running or not running.
Seems to be near to white HVAC box behind orange module.

Sway bar relocation kit for the front and extended end links in the rear. Iirc 2nd or 3rd gen rear sway bar end links are a bit longer and solve this issue with 2” lift. I cut and sleeved mine to extend them.

Found it. It was gas gauge in instrument cluster. Swapped cluster, noise is gone.

just changed my spark plugs out and did some throttle body cleaning, maf sensor cleaning. still need to put my stock intake back in a few weeks for smog check. trying some Denso 4704 IKH20TT Iridium TT Spark Plug from sparkplugs.com
I bought 12 since I have another 4.0 engine to do, great discount when I bought 12 plugs. long over due using Denso 5344 IKH20 Iridium Power Spark Plug, seems to idle and drive nicer.
I do use anti-seize on my plugs, I know some people don't, I don't have any issue removing my plugs out at 222k on my vehicle(cold), it was some what different on the 06 Tacoma (168k), I think it was because the engine was a little hot. very nice to use my newly purchase tool. the Gearwrench 80601 spark plug socket set.

Went up the Forest Lake trail near Park City, UT. Got to break in my new 4x4 Innovations rock sliders - they did great!
