I have seen this thread before. Idk if you noticed or even looked at it but 99% of the responses are un helpful a** holes who reply about anything and everything other than what he asked. Also another thing, you people who comment on other peoples threads just to say theres already been a thread about the topic made can go F**k your selves. Are you implying that every single person who wants to make a thread has to be original and different from the thousands of threads already made? If you're not going to be any help with someones question simply don't reply. I asked the most simple question ever and right off the bat I get two smart ass replies. Assuming you two have bought 4runners WHAT DID YOU PAY out the door (taxes, tag, tittle, etc).

what exactly is he enabling? hes helping a fellow 4runner enthusiast determine what a fair price for a 4runner is. Its people like you that ruin forums and blogs. If you cant contribute any positive answers to what the OP is asking simply do not post. it takes far more time and energy to post a sarcastic dick comment than it does to keep it to your self.

its a public forum, what good does banning do???? It literally takes less than a minute to create a profile.. Read the starting of this thread. Anyone see any disrespect? I've looked everywhere for a good video of a 5th gen actually tackling serious off road obstacles other than your basic SUV reviewer on you tube. Does anyone know of any cool videos of a 5th gen 4Runner going through some DEEP mud? Would be cool to see and compare.. Any basic equipped suv or cuv for that matter can go up a steep dirt hill or on dry trails with little pebbles. I wanna see some serious terrain tackled.

I had a 2wd sr5 that I took through more shit than I've seen any videos of. Going up a hill and rock climbing can have the same answer as what a few of you have said for mud "go fast get tires". I use to take my 2wd up and over shit my friends 4wd trucks wouldn't go over, either because they were to scared to break something or they just could not physically make it over.... You put a prius going the right speed and it will go through the same shit, but that wasn't my question.I was simply asking "where is a video of a 5th gen in some deep mud". I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion and I guess my opinion of off roading is a bit different than you middle aged 4runner baby's

Ok well since everyone wants to be sarcastic about my question here is what I want to see but in a 5th gen.. You can't find any 5th generation going through a decent amount of mud or deep soft terrain. Going up silly rocks and babying it on pussу public trails is not impressive nor does it fully use the 4runners off road potential. Any vehicle with a 4wd system can do the majority of whats been shown for the 5th gen.....

Those are just ridiculous, my unborn child's future 2035 Prius will be able to tackle those mud holes!

I purchased a 2015 SR5 Premium with running boards, exhaust tip, tint and a few other goodies. Sticker was $39,100 and I paid $36,100.

I was really holding out for a Trails Edition but we got tired of waiting and having them sold out from underneath us as we made headway on the deal each time. Other than the lack of the hood scoop which the old lady had to have, we are pretty happy.

There are WAY too many variables that go into car pricing. Go to TrueCar, or whatever website it is that actually has already done the work for you and there's your answer.

And to address your main complaint flawhateveryouchangedyournameto; this forum is very helpful if you ask an original question or research your question first.

Some of the longer term members (me included) have noticed a huge influx of new members since the 2014s came out and also I presume buyers of pre-owned 5th gens. This has led to endless rounds of questions like what lift should I buy?, what tires should I buy? will they rub? has anyone blacked out their emblems? and on and on and on endlessly. These have already been asked, answered, documented and detailed. Some people are trying to be dicks and be the first to tell you to search, but it's true. Just spend some time looking around and you can probably find your answer. If not, then ask.

I got a really good price on my truck itself, but I got hammered on state sales tax because I didn't trade a vehicle in, and I also had to pay personal property tax on it too to the tune of $600. So, if I told you what my "out the door" was, you would be unimpressed, despite me getting a good price on the truck itself.

The only thing that matters is the price of the vehicle. "Out the door' is meaningless.

Totally agree and unless you are from the same city and state out the door is meaningless for a good comparison. Throw in a trade and it's even worse.
