What do I need to replace stock suspension?

Okay so I had planned to purchase an Old Man Emu lift kit (finally saved up enough for it), but my fuel pump went on my way to work. So between the cost of the tow, the repair, and rental car (bc we had to order a fuel pump because no one around me had it - not even Toyota) most of my OME money is going to this bs, unfortunately.

I do plan on getting the lfit kit, but honestly between bills and my student loans kicking in soon, it probably won't be for at least another 6 months. But I still need to replace my suspension, because it's shot and driving me crazy.

What exactly do I need to replace the suspension (I am not trying to lift it right now!)? Just struts? Coils to? Do I get coilovers and call it a day? I'm clueless lol. Any suggestions on decent, but affordable parts would be great.

I would troll craigslist for old stock suspension from upgraders, I would have given you mine after I did my lift to get it out of my garage.... I'm sure there are similar people out there.

How many miles on yours? What drives you crazy? If it squeaks, maybe you just need to replace some small rubber parts.

Like other poster said .. keep an eye on local CL or forum sales. Taco, FJ and even 5th Gen parts will fit wit a bit of finagling. There are threads for each set up. I grabbed a full set of 2014 FJ Bils for pretty cheap. A dremel and grinder got it all to fit.

Or grab 5100's for now, resale later or adjust your plans accordingly.
