What do you hate about your T4R?

This list will be a very short list but I HATE the outline of the roof.....when ever there is leftover rain, dew or whatever on the roof and I have the window down or cracked it runs into the front passenger and drivers side windows when I brake. Seams like the grooves/lips along the roof line designed to stop this from happening end over the front of the window opening and water just trickles right in. So annoying.

Most of the minor annoyances (like the exhaust, headlights, and brakes) I've taken care of already. The only thing left are the seats. The seats in my Volvo were incredible and even the seats in my old Explorer were more comfortable.
 
The rattling rear hatch and the worn out suspension. I can't figure out the hatch but I know the suspension just needs some $$ thrown at it. But the headlights are the worst of any vehicle I have ever owned.
 
No hates... but I wish the front seats were more like my 93' Runners. Better contours (more ergonomic) and the other thing was that the Driver's Door armrest was the same height as the center console which made it real comfortable on long trips.

Any ideas on how to build up the height on the drivers door armrest????

Absolutely... a must for safety if anything. If you are running the 305 tires in your Sig it will make a difference.

The 231mm upgrade and keeping the rear brakes adjusted and cleaning out the brake dust in the drums is a priority with larger heavier Tires.
 
The cup holders on 96-98. On my 98, the rear 2 are both snapped off and the ones in the front block the vents with any decent size drink in them.
 
Same as what the OP said about the water! So annoying!! The lack of heat all around including the rear defroster.
 
I hate the leaking sunroof if it sits in a torrential down pour, it pisses all over the passenger seat.

I hate the rattling rear gate.

I hate the rust attacking the rocker panels.

That's about it.
 
Hate may be too strong a word, but here are a couple annoyances:

1.) The seat belt (non)-retractors
2.) The 4WD shifter digs into my shin when I assume cruising posture
3.) The lights along the bottom of the dash pod like ECT-Power and Cruise don't dim with the other dash lights
4.) In June of 1999 I could not find an E-locker in the entire state of California, so that space on the dash is still empty
5.) The rear window wiper is a pain to find replacements for
6.) The gas gauge drops to the 3/4 mark after about a gallon is gone

and finally...

7.) They stopped making them - I'd really like to be able to buy a brand new, V8 powered, slightly updated full frame 4Runner.
 
Count me in for the roof design too. With the amount of rain we get here, it's nice to drive with the windows cracked to keep the fogging down. Made getting a set of window visors a must and I'm not the biggest fan of the looks of them. Would rather not have them.

Other than that, no big complaints. Maybe more power?

sounds like you need to invest in some vent channels for you windows. when i got them it got rid of the water problem! plus you can park your car with the windows cracked and no one can notice they are cracked because of the shades.

make sure your drain hose is not clogged. open the sun roof and poke ur head throuh. it should be on the front left and maybe the front right corners.
 
Most of my gripes have already beena addressed.

-The "jitters" syndrome, which i affectionately named my truck after

-The fact that I cant get the high speed vibration out of mine (many have wrestled with this issue)

-The stock headlights truly were terrible (though I replaced mine)

-The lack of power

-The cup holders (so I made my own)

-The fact that I didnt get a manual!
