What do you hate about your T4R?

I actually started a thread on this a while back. But it wasnt accepted that well. The general response was, "just get a LC!". But if you look at the sum of my suggestions, it would still be quite different than a LC

I would love to but it doesn't open for some reason...lol I wanted to keep my hate list short.

I hate the sunroof and rear wiper and rear window that do not function at all.

Not sure about anyone else... but the heat works just fine in mine... in fact... it's down right crazy hot! (I live in Northeastern Canada... we get temps as low as 35* Celsius)

You may have an issue with your heating system... maybe a leak??


As for my gripes..... That just about every time I take it out... some stranger tells me that it's a "nice truck", or stares at it as I drive by.... :P

I honestly don't have any complaints about this truck.... love it. It rides better than my 05 DCLB Tacoma. It looks bad ass with it's 33's and summer wheels. I actually like the seats.... (I guess my body formed to the truck??) As for the roof line.... I just got the window visors... and I like the look of them. :D

The way I see it.... we could be alot worse off... we could be driving a chevy! lol!

(P.S: don't take offence to my post... my lame attempt at being funny... :) )

Yeah I`m gonna look into more when the weather gets nicer since I don`t have a garage for now. I know one problem is I have a resistor out for the low setting on the fan. It gets warm, just need to look more into it. Seems a little different since I did my T-Stat. :doh:
 
Nipicking here but since I got a 2.7L.. the acceleration is non-existent :hunter:
Also this is not a truck made for eco/green/save the earth kind of people haha.
 
I hate the lack of "get up & go". I lost 2 liters and about 140-150 HP when I switched from this:

- the exhaust smell. it's not the rotten egg smell it's different so when i open my rear window i can smell it and it's annoying. I've smelled on other toyota's that I've driven too, not sure what it is.
- the traction control VSC whatever (did the andy-mod so not really an issue anymore)
- the retractable antenna. (gonna fix that soon)
i think that's about it
 
I don't know what every one is complaining about the power. I think it has great power.... :moon:


But seriously. I hate the fact that the sunroof doesn't close all the way by one motion.


I love everything about my truck. Now...

Both are nice trucks man! I love the F-150 with the stepside.... would be the only Domestic pickup I would buy (Ford).. Used to be a chevy man... but the quality has gone down hill big time... and Dodge is crap too.... however.. the new ones have rear Independent Suspension... rides like a car. Too bad the rest of the truck sucks! lol!

Like I said in my previous post... really happy with my Yota... in fact... I bought a 2nd Gen Taco in the Fall, in hopes of having just as good of luck for my yard/house work vehicle... :)

seriously, the heat in my truck is ridiculously hot. It's way hotter than the heat in my 2013 Infiniti.
 
The fact that it is a 2WD. (I bought it for my now ex-wife and I ended up with it. If it were mine to begin with, it would have been 4WD.)

And those dang cupholders...

-Fuel gauge can read empty when I just filled it up
-Front end jitters over small bumps
-Very underpowered on hills
-Auto trans is geared too tall
-cup holders

Otherwise its a truly amazing vehicle that is only 2nd to my old 99 TRD taco.
 
1. The brakes. But the tundra swap made them 10x better. TOYOTA ENGINEERING FTW!
2. The fuel mileage

Everything else makes up for those two MINOR FLAWS :cowboy:
