Thank you, I thought it was a good deal!
You got a good deal on that one! Whats up with the mud flap hanger thing, does it pull off?

I honestly didn't know the difference I thought they were locker. could you possibly give me more education/info on them as I don't know to much about lockers in general other then ARB air lockers. for them not being lockers they worked exceptionally well I took it on some very hard trails last night and it crawled up it with ease no slipping I am about to film some go pro footage Today I was impressed with bald tires and didn't air down either. How much do you think I could slap some real locker in this rig for?

The mudflaps are removable.

I've heard people refer to them as "lockers" many times, not sure where the confusion comes from.

They're a trick LSD is what they are.

Could you give me more info on the tru tracks I honestly don't know very much about them.

Looks like alot of fun. Just need to add a doggie door to the plexiglass partition for your little friend!
right i bet they would love that lol

Nice rig.

The trutrac is a limited slip differential. It will not provide 100% power to both wheels in low traction circumstances, but it's much better than an open diff. It is best suited for a DD that sees occasional-moderate offroad use.

Open diff: the wheel with the least amount of resistance spins the most.

LSD: uses internal gears (and sometimes a computer) to keep both wheels spinning at some limited speed difference (i.e. the wheel in the mud won't stop spinning like with an open diff). These can be tuned for a variety of mechanical advantage and how much differential spin is between them. Has applications in off road and race cars.

Locker: diff is "locked" through some mechanical or electronic means: both wheels spin at the same rate, doesn't matter if one is in the air, one is on the ground, etc. On road this will result in "binding" of the drivetrain. A solid axle rig (like my 80 series) has lockers front and rear and in center, too--so theoretically each wheel gets 25% of engine output regardless of how they're positioned.

The good thing about a TruTrac is that it uses regular gear oil. No friction modifiers needed like a PowerLock or TracLock which wear out over time. :frusty:

Pickups and early gen Runners dont have center diffs at all. Locked all the time!

I want to make 10 rubicon passes this spring summer fall! I made a few last year in the 4th Gen I have a trip planned March 22nd so less then 2 weeks away so excited to be back out on the trails!!! I want to do Dana 60 or unimog portal axles and eventually be able to back up Soup Kitchen at The Rubicon!! I do plan on doing a Moab trip this year I want to take this thing through one of the hot tubs!! its going to be my new trail beast!!! Until I can find my FJ40 that I want to build!:faint:
