What engine squeal sound is this?

Can anyone identify what this squealing sound coming from the engine bay might be?

It currently has 194k on it (original engine), the timing belt and water pump were done 12k ago (at 182k) in Nov 2014.

Some searching around forums makes me think it could be either a pulley bearing, or power steering pump, or maybe A/C? Do any of those seem to match the sound?

Any ways to narrow down the source cause?

I don't know what that sound is. But it seemed to get a tad bit louder as you hovered over the alternator area.

Then again it's late and I'm stoned so maybe I'm imagining it.

X2, got louder over the alternator. Could be a bearing going out in it.
If you don't have a mechanics stethoscope, take a long screw driver or pry bar and start poking it around. When you set it on to something like the alternator case, put your ear right up to the end of the handle and listen for the noise to be much louder.
When poking it around, avoid the spinny things and belts!

My alternator makes a very similar sound. If you punch the throttle, it squeals like a very quiet supercharger. My original OEM one died and now I'm on my third Autozone alternator in 9 months (one melted the connector, one had a noisy bearing, and my current one has a less noisy bearing). I figure my luck nor their parts are going to get better so I still have it in. Not only that but my valve cover slowly seeps and that has aided in their deaths, I'm sure. One of these days I'll fix the root of the problem and get a quality alternator.

This. My grandfather showed me this trick when I was a kid trying to nail down a squeal in an old Isuzu Trooper. Turned out to be a bearing in my idler pulley.

Looks like you have been having fun. Possibly mud or water got into bearing or alternator. If the stethescope or screw driver doesn't get you anything try taking 1 belt of and see if it goes away. You can also spin bearings with belt removed and feel them for resistance or noise. If it is your altenator going bad try to find a motor/starter shop that will rebuild the original. If not try to get OEM. Putting Chinese parts on a yota turns it into a ford.

I was actually thinking of upgrading the alternator to a higher amperage one at some point... Maybe now's the time

I'll take a closer look at the alternator and pullies.
